Title: STFC shirts from 90's/00's.
Post by: Gnasher on Sunday, March 5, 2023, 15:50:56
:DI've done the unthinkable and listed my STFC shirt collection on Ebay, some only worn one or twice (all size M).

I haven't even found where I've put the pre Premier League shirts, but they're here somewhere!

Cheers. Yeah, forgot to turn off offers and already had silly bids from footy shirt resellers.

I sold all mine the last year or so on e-bay, got some good prices for them. I got loads of "offers" for £10 from resellers so just ignored them all.

Sad to see them go, but I only wear a couple of them, so no point keeping them all. Hope someone else enjoys wearing them.

Have a few in the loft and a fair few signed.
I definitely have a limited edition white one, no 9 and signed by Sam Parkin.

Amazed you have a Kingswood era one with the logos still attached, that must never have seen a washing machine... or a light shower!

Lucky you! Best I managed was Jan's socks when he scored v Port Vale! They whiffed a bit!

Haha, yeah I didn't like that shirt and only wore it once.

Sorry for the pedantic question but are these shirts actually 'matchworn' or just replicas.

I can't believe what these shirts go for nowadays, I gave mine away to charity when I was clearing out the flat in London.

The real thing Bob. I have my favourites (which are too worn to sell), and these have only been worn a handful of time, or not at all. Have to clear space as we're moving.

Sorry to be a pedantic Pete, but if they are 'matchworn' why don't they have numbers/names on them on them?

Loved that Inter style Mizuno away shirt, don't think I would get in mine these days sadly, but it was incredibly durable wore mine to death!

No sleeve patches either.

I still have my inter Milan Mizuno one and can still just about fit in it.
Not bad considering I must have been early teens when I bought it.

I bought that inter style one in the Brunel for a fiver (new). Got it somewhere but can't find it  :(

Yeah, just to be clear they're match worn by me, not the players  :D They are original shirts and not retro copies though.

Would you consider signing them? ;)

:Ride On Fatbury's Lovestick: I have a black marker pen. Which player would you like?  :D

I have the 2002-03 shirt signed by the squad. Is that worth anything nowadays?

Aha! Thanks for the clarification, it was the lack of badges on the sleeves causing the confusion.

I have the home shirt (not match worn) signed by either the 92/93 or the 93/94 squad. I can make out signatures by Nijholt, Bodin and Mitchell but that's about it.

Not that I would ever sell, but I wonder what it would be worth.

It'll be 92-93 I suspect as I think Mitchell left before the 93-94 PL season?

Yes, sorry for my confusion.

I have the signed poster of the Div 2 winning side of 95/96, signed by McMuck, Finney, Thorne etc. The only signature missing is Joey Beauchamp's! I don't think it's worth much. You would do well with the shirt though.
