Really strange, chaotic game that, but a win. Thank fuck for that.

Wialliams - I don't think he was great, but he kept working and was one of the rare players who could create something when he was meaning to.

Plenty of positives but quite a mixed evening for many.  Williams from Blake Tracy for me.

Gladwin tonight.
outstanding.

I thought so too and wavered about giving him my vote but opted for Williams by a whisker.

Yeah, Williams.

A mention for MacDonald. Looked like he won all of his defensive interventions. Headers, blocks, interceptions & tackles when needed.

He’s a bit of a reverse Conroy. He was great with the ball at his feet but no so much when it came to the basics of being a CB.

Takes yer pick which one is the better option in L2.

Looking at the votes seems I'm in the minority but I thought Gladwin was superb last night. Everything good went through him and he was the metronome last night. I know Williams got the sponsors MOM and he played very well also, have we now found his best position wide right with freedom to get to the byline or cut inside? I also thought Shade played well last night, obviously fortunate with his goal and wouldn't it have been so very Swindon had he injured his foot kicking the camera equipment as he was celebrating!

Literally this, he's solid at defending, just hopeless at passing.

Thought Lavenier, Gladwin, Reed all decent enough. Williams at his best.

Khan and Wakeling good subs and Wakeling MOM for me, didnt stop when he came on.

Williams easily our best player, never stopped running, interesting as I thought Gladwin was really poor again yesterday and slowed the game down every time he got the ball.

Khan and Wakeling made us look better when they came on, and for all his mistakes I thought MacDonald did really well when actually defending. I thought Shade was poor too other than his goal which was flukey to say the least.

Brynn made one slip but couldnt do much for either of the goals but did really well too.

If he could do both he wouldn't be here, been the same here for years.

Fascinating reading that JJ. I felt Gladwin and Shade were both positive and whilst I see what you say about Gladders, don't feel he slowed us at all, in fact I felt that he made us tick the whole game. Opinions and arseholes my friend! :)

Indeed it is mate, I guess we all look at different attributes in players.

As we do in manager.....now thats a whole new kettle of dogfood :)

My view of it was that Shade  didn’t kick the camera, he fell over the photographer’s bag accidentally and then went and apologised to him for it which was a classy move. Hopefully the goal will do his confidence some good, guessing he must be showing something in training to get the starting place.

Gladwin - excellent performance, brilliant long range passes, created several chances and crucially won the ball back before Shade’s goal.
Williams and Blake-Tracey also put in strong performances.

Opted for Darcy, thought he worked well with ball however was caught out for the equaliser. Gladwin Reed Williams all had very good games. Mcdonald isn't afraid to get his foot in. Shade was good gong forward but when the opportunity came to move into open space in front of him he was often behind the ball trying to keep up.
Jephcott was unlucky with a couple best game for Hutton as he showed attacking threat.
I enjoyed it so much I'm going to Donny

I didn't see the game but Hale on the radio said how impressed he was with Lavenier.

Lavinier looked pretty good going forwards but defensively much like KKH.

He still looked better defensively than Hutton for me but he is raw and didnt play as well as he did away at Jills last week. Saying that he was carried off late in the gameso could be badly injured, holding his thigh.

Lavinier looked, based solely on that game, like a moderated version of Hutton.  Good going forward, but not as much of a threat that Hutton looks like he might be when he gets a head of steam up, and terrible defensively, but not as much of a liability that Hutton has looked.

He looks, like a lot of our team, like someone who needs a season or two of development.

A league 2 player then  :)

Gladwin got my vote as he played some excellent passes and brought a few other players into the game.

He wasn't perfect but no one is at this level.

Don’t remember him getting caught in possession or giving the ball away either.

Great performance.

I'd say he is still ab it raw - that could develop quickly though.  If I was putting together a team to gain instant promotion from this division, he'd be OK as my back-up, giving him the time to develop without risking too much on the results front.  Same goes for Hutton, who'd be behind him in the right back pecking order though.

Yes I just don't think they could play together in central midfield

So Gladders and Williams CAN play together then.

The issue is not them being together when we are on the ball, it is what they don't offer when defending.  Last night being a good example - we could easily have conceded 5 goals when you review the chances we gave up.  What did they have to do with that?

They do not offer protection and have limited legs - Williams tends to be a player that can run about, but does it more so when on the ball.  Last night Williams offered next to no support for our Right Back and Gladwin is OK when someone is near him but doesn't really follow runs.  It means we already have two less players being helpful when defending.  I'd still prefer one or the other to play and rotate them to have them both at their best.  You can have both when chasing a game.

Khan was solid as usual when he came on, we looked much better defensively with Wakeling as well.

I think you're right from open play, but worth mentioning that I think Gladwin is one of our best defenders from set plays. It's not a competitive field, mind.
