Title: Referee's Digest - Gillingham (0) Vs Swindon (0) - Martin Woods
Post by: Honkytonk on Sunday, September 4, 2022, 08:38:42
Late on this one as I was at a wedding all day with no signal, my bad.

Did Martin Woods produce the goods, or was his performance as wooden as his name?

Didn't seem to be too much complaint from them for the second yellow.

A bonus point to the ref for giving us a chance, shame we couldn't take advantage.

Another decent ref.

Only gripe is he didn't do anything to deter them from timewasting.

I only rate the ref when Iíve been at the game
Generally did ok - the sending off (more accurately 2 bookings) were correct.
He resisted the crowd appeals for ridiculous things to even things up.
Less competent on the time wasting in the second half, and should have booked the player who feigned injury and leapt to his feet when he realised the physio wasnít being called on.
