Blunsdon arms and Manor farm are great. Dockle is too chavvy and let the riff raff in. Any decent ones in Old Town? I remember Longs and Mackenzies having something decent but very shaded? They've really sorted that out now. Half of it a proper boozer with sport, etc. and other half kept the more cheep and cheerful family restaurant. Hoping to make use of that garden this summer. So now we know! ‘The Strawberry Thief’, was named as a nod to a William Morris textile design from 1883, which features the thrushes that Morris found stealing fruit in his kitchen garden of his countryside home, Kelmscott Manor in Oxfordshire. The William Morris theme runs through Tadpole Garden Village with street names and the school named after the famous British textile designer. |
