I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you that have messaged me on the loss of my son.
Your concern and sympathy and prayers have been felt.  I have found the people of Wiltshire to be
welcoming and sincere. All of my friends and family here have been so impressed and touched when
I share the messages that I have gotten.  I hope to be able to come and meet many of you before a match
someday.

I am glad they have arrested the perpetrator of the murder now though, may you gain a little amount of solace from that.

Garry, if you ever need anything, like a fellow idiot to watch a game with or chat inane shit about how bad we have had for all the years we have existed, or just drink, give us a shout.  I am just a short hop (by USA standards) away in Atlanta.  I know another STFC fan in the USA, so we can always take over a pub!

I'm not even a father, most likely never will be but I can still echo the sentiments of others in the thought of having to do what no parent should have to do (at any point in life).

Often we find it difficult to find any words other than something generic, especially when something so terrible has happened. But really our words or what we say don't really matter - the mere presence of someone or knowing that someone is there, possibly just to listen can bring a lot of comfort.

Garry, it's great you have found the time to still make posts on here and as others have said - we're very glad you have and I also extend the same feeling that you can contact any of us at any time (I know you are in touch with some "good 'uns" on here).

Finally, I think with the words RobT mentioned about meeting for a pint (of  Perrier Water of course) and yourself following it up with watching a game...and so it was...The TEF Reds (Murica Branch) was born :)

I wanted to thank everyone for the continued support from my family.  I wanted to thank Paul for contacting Matt with the club and organized a wonderful surprise of a signed jersey.  It was very generous of the players during a P.O. run to take a moment and sign a jersey for me.

Garry, I have always found your observations and comments to be a breath of fresh air on this forum, and genuinely enjoy your contributions.
I have only just found out about your terrible loss, and as a father myself, I can't even begin to think how you and your family must be feeling right now. All I can do is to wish you all the strength to help you overcome this awful situation.
