It was front wheel drive so, as horlock says, poor in very cold weather. There was heavy snow about 10 years ago that turned to ice and stayed for ages. Everyone else was out driving after a day or two but the 1 series was all over the shop and I couldn't drive it for a week. Doesn't happen often though. The 125d is a rear wheel drive, one thing I fancy trying. Remapped I'll get it to 270bhp, it's £130 a year to tax compared to the £210 for mine. The 125d should be good for 50mpg too.
