Title: England v Germany 1966
Post by: Jimmy HaveHave on Saturday, July 10, 2021, 18:56:55
Just watched the whole game in colour on channel 4 and what an entertaining game it was and enjoyed it more than some modern day games as it was end to end football, honest, committed with plenty of endeavour, slightly naive at times and not a hint of any cheating or diving.......fantastic

Don’t spoil it. I’m watching it on 4+1 currently 2-2 in extra time. Nail biting stuff. Think we can win this one.

I cut the ends off of my TV to make it widescreen and couldn't believe VAR wasn't working😀

My lad screamed for a free kick when the W. German goalie took a back pass.

I was 149 days old when England won the World Cup.

Don't remember anything about the day :)

Neither do I JJ and my first recollection of STFC was my uncle going off to the County Ground in 72 to see Town get beat by Arsenal in the FA Cup. My first ever game was the following season in 73 against Hull City😀
