Title: Euro cylinder locks (lift to lock without key)?
Post by: Barry Scott on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, 12:40:19
Hi

I can't for the life of me find a euro cylinder lock that doesn't require a key to lock upon exiting.

It's the same as any door where you lift the handle to lock, but you don't then need a key to keep it locked - once lifted, it's locked.

Can't find it online and don't know what it's called to search for it. Any ideas please? Danke

I meant thumbturn not tumbler  :

Edit. Oh, you mean for exiting. Not sure there's a euro profile cylinder that fits that purpose, the Yale latch type will lock on exit without having to turn a key.

Do you mean Euro Cylinder Lock Self Locking mate?

So you can go out and pull the door closed but it has to be opened with a key on return?

You need a split spindle. Easy to change without replacing the whole lock.
