Title: Wigan A vs STFC MoM
Post by: Red Frog on Sunday, May 9, 2021, 13:01:03
That game was a summary of the might-have-beens of the past year. How could we have twenty-eight CB pairings and never once find a reliable combination? What if we'd played two up front on a regular basis? What if we'd had Twine from the start of the season? We'd probably have gone down anyway with this squad, but we might at least have been more competitive.

Look out for a TEF player of the year summary later this week.

Twine for me, Smith played well when he came on and TBF Pitman did fairly well too.

Just don’t see the fuss about Lee Camp, reflexes are very poor and slow to respond.
Definitely need a new younger keeper next season in the mould of Travers and not another Kovar.
We were very fortunate with the big fucking German, was very good and gave the defence so much confidence.

Bumping this as a last chance to have your say before I calculate the season stats.

Though perhaps it's appropriate we bow out with the lowest turnout of the season.

I'm not really sure there was a real stand out. Twine's 2 shots? Smith changing the game by getting the sending off, scoring a goal and offering an outlet to bring Pitman in the game? I'll go for the Rance of Twine scoring for Alan Mac
