Think you've been a bit harsh on some of the players. Don't think we have that bad a squad (or at least not as bad as they're being made to look), they're just appallingly mismanaged.

tbf, Conroy, Twine and possibly Lyden are the only players out of this squad that I would like to see here next season, possibly Akin as well - all others have been pretty much destroyed beyond repair

Good news, Lyden is the only one of those under contract for next season!

Curran, Baudry, Fryers, Hunt, Iandolo, Lyden & Payne have contracts for 2022 (and 2023 in Curran's case). Think we might have an option on Odimayo mind.

I think quite a few of our squad would do well under a good manager in League Two next year.

Under different management, I'd happily have the following around next year, irrelevant of division, More than capable of bottom half league 1 football with some positive influence from the bench.

I've said it before, I won't be judging these players under this manager. This cunt could make Messi look shit.

But I didn’t say ditch them all. The Lincoln guy asked which player(s) to look out for. There’s not one that lights me up when he gets the ball. Those that did have legged it or been binned off by Sheridan.

Smith M, DJ, Smith J, Twine if picked - there was always a chance one of those would do something. The present set of players are hardly functioning under Sheridan.

This could be the Sheridan tagline...he is able to make Messi look messy.

We could also have Mr Dizzy, Mr Topsy-turvy and Mr Small.  :)

So not one worth watching? Not a single one? If they're not worth watching they're not worth keeping. Anyway, you seem to be rowing back, it just struck me as a pretty over the top unmerited criticism of quite a few players who are doing their best while being badly mismanaged. I'll leave it there

To me, a player ‘worth watching’ is someone who can do something out of the ordinary, who can make something happen. If you can point me in the right direction, I’ll keep my eye out.

Jojo can kick it pretty far.

He’s OOC at the end of the season. City may have a 1 year option, though. He’s been there 10 years. Maybe time to get his career going. He’ll get plenty of practice this season.

Jojo is OOC apparently at the end of this season at Shitty and I understand this is his last chance to grab a new contract if he impresses, he will be 25 just after the start of next season and has only made 11 league level appearances this is almost certainly his last chance to impress them.

Chances are he will probably be released and snapped up by a bigger club thats more forward thinking and pays more in wages than us, like FGR.

Mark Cooper at FGR is known to be an admirer of his so he would probably choose then with their pulling power and ability to pay higher wages and also could well be a league higher than us next season.

Conroy is one I enjoy watching, not for the reasons you state but for the fact he is a bit of a class act IMO

Playing through some pain at present. Would benefit from a full preseason.

Having heard from the Swindon fan how awful they are, I can only assume that was a bit of kidology. When they were on TV at Ipswich recently they were the better side that day.

Knee is perfect and it’s a compensating injury to his Achilles after the long lay off.
No threat to career and trying to get through on pain killers.
Is building up strength nicely. Problem is can he play through until the end of the season as would be around a 6 week layoff if Operation and we need him.

We are awful, by and large. Definitely less awful away from home, though. Maintain the form over the last 5 games and we’d probably stay up. 7 from 15 from now on in would plop us on about 50 for the season. It’s these odd draws that will make the difference - something we’ve not had nearly enough of.

Will we be keeping Wollacott for longer?

'luckily' we are well served with Centre backs so if we can get Baudry back fit we have the opportunity to utilise them and allow Conroy a rest as and when he needs. Given the amount of Sat/Tue matches I don't think we can afford to risk breaking him and he'll need to be managed properly. I dread to think how we could manage the rest of the season if he gets a season ending injury.

He is fit "allegedly" so the liklehood of Bauldry coming back in to give him a rest is pretty low I think

I think it more likely to be a back 3 of Odimayo, Grounds and Broadbent if Conroy is unavailable.  I would personally put Grant in the middle of a back 3, but we know that isn't going to happen.

Yep, I would agree with that. I don't think Odimayo's positional play is particularly good yet, but he has pace to burn, which the other 2 certainly don't!

Positionally Broadbent is not bad, but he is so slow off the mark he gets caught out by pace, Odimayo certainly isn't slow and if Conroy is not fit enough then that has to be the central 3 defenders with Hunt/Caddis at right wingback.

I thought Hunt did well when he came on last night

I thought he had a better game than Caddis did on Saturday.
