Thinking about replacing my 25 odd year old Senser, are these Harry's things worth it or should I stay mainstream....

I tried Harrys when on special offer, shaved twice and it went blunt.

Bear in mind I shave my face and head not just face. Rubbish product IMO, I will stay with Gillette Sensor 3.

Mach 3s for me. Nothing else works and I just end up hacking away.

Been using Mach 3 turbot for as long as I can remember, till I lost it last autumn. So in a similar predicament I borrowed my sons Harry’s, with a different blade of course. Does the job for a lot less money. Blades I felt were sharper, however being as there are four of them they do get clogged up easily especially if you have some foliage to clear. The head is larger and a bit fiddly under the schnozz but other than that fine. Regarding blunt blades,I did find the sharpness and longevity of the turbot varying but if you slide the blade away from the cutting edge onto something like your jeans or an old towel that helped rejuvenate for a bit as well as using an old toof brush to fettle between the blades. On balance, Harry’s, beats the others by a whisker with the ongoing cost.

Am I alone in finding it a bit "fishy" that you shave with a denizen of the deep?

Ever tried the pyramid method of keeping your fish fresh.... some think it can even sharpen blades?  Personally after some very basic research years ago I'm a bit sceptical.

I know whetstone can help, unsure on if this helps the longevity of the fish or puts it out of its misery quicker? Mind you, there is a decent lake there :hmmm:

Mach 3 Turbot or Barry’s, it matters not you’ll they do the job and you’ll get comfortable with it given time. Time to go fishing infact.
