Title: 4g wireless internet router thingies
Post by: flammableBen on Friday, May 1, 2020, 10:58:58
The restaurant below my flat's internet has gone off. It was nice whilst it lasted. Now realised flat doesn't even have a phone socket, not even looked before. Chances of getting internets installed under lockdown seem pretty slim. Are there any good/recommended 4g sim wireless boxes out there. Don't want a long contract so possibly a data only sim and buy something cheap off amazon? Any suggestions? Love you x

I got one off of my mobile phone provider (voda) (good signal) when we moved to plug a gap. About £20 per month iirc and it was reliable. Doesnt really matter what the actual device is, just what your 4G coverage there is like. In my experience anyway

Most of them will do the router at the same price as a data only sim. Vodafone have 6 months half price on their sim only deals at the moment. Haven't looked at others though to be fair.
