Title: Re: Tommy Wright Post by: Waffle on Monday, December 16, 2019, 16:13:41 Well he is gone then. I thought that may be the case when he was missing from the manager of the month photo.
Title: Re: Tommy Wright Post by: Costanza on Monday, December 16, 2019, 16:46:21 I doubt he'll leave unless he's jailed.
He was on a larger manager of the month group picture taken on matchday. Title: Re: Tommy Wright Post by: Flashheart on Monday, December 16, 2019, 16:56:56 He might get a ban, though.
Title: Re: Tommy Wright Post by: ron dodgers on Monday, December 16, 2019, 17:58:09 he told the tax man he got it so he wasn't hiding it - weird
Title: Re: Tommy Wright Post by: Nomoreheroes on Monday, November 16, 2020, 12:06:30 Adver says that Nixon says that Wellens wants him at Salford.
https://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/sport/18874481.richie-wellens-wants-bring-tommy-wright-salford-city/ Not a surprise. Title: Re: Tommy Wright Post by: Peter Venkman on Monday, November 16, 2020, 12:18:02 Adver says that Nixon says that Wellens wants him at Salford. Thing is Sheridan wants him to stay, he was his assistant manager at 2 of his previous clubs. Lets see who he decides is his best bet.https://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/sport/18874481.richie-wellens-wants-bring-tommy-wright-salford-city/ Not a surprise. Title: Re: Tommy Wright Post by: bigbobjoylove on Monday, November 16, 2020, 12:44:53 Make Salford buy out his contract.
Title: Re: Tommy Wright Post by: Power to people on Monday, November 16, 2020, 12:54:52 Would not surprise me if he followed Wellens, they seemed to form a decent coaching partnership, maybe depends if Wellens want's Hunt also
Title: Re: Tommy Wright Post by: Audrey on Monday, November 16, 2020, 12:58:51 Would not surprise me if he followed Wellens, they seemed to form a decent coaching partnership, maybe depends if Wellens want's Hunt also Apparently not. Hunt is happily settled down south.Title: Re: Tommy Wright Post by: Peter Venkman on Monday, November 16, 2020, 13:03:15 Apparently not. Hunt is happily settled down south. I think Hunt lives not far from Hungerford and is happy settled in the South West(ish), I guess it depends if Sheridan is happy with him too.Title: Re: Tommy Wright Post by: Boeta on Monday, November 16, 2020, 13:42:22 Very clear on Sat that Wright was the assistant and Hunt was the spare part (on a match day). What that means for Wright going forward is hard to guess but there might be something to read into it.
Always hard to pin these things down, but given Sheridans lack of man-management skill, Hunt’s good cop/bubblier personality might be pretty crucial on a day to day basis in terms of squad morale even if Sheridan isn’t too keen on him getting involved in directing traffic for the 90 mins of match day Title: Re: Tommy Wright Post by: pauld on Monday, November 16, 2020, 14:19:52 Would not surprise me if he followed Wellens, they seemed to form a decent coaching partnership, maybe depends if Wellens want's Hunt also He's been bessies with Sheridan for years, they've been together at several clubs, so score draw on that frontTitle: Re: Tommy Wright Post by: tans on Friday, November 20, 2020, 13:52:57 Confirms he is staying
Title: Re: Tommy Wright Post by: Batch on Friday, November 20, 2020, 14:47:25 Confirms he is staying From a football point of view, I guess that's good Title: Re: Tommy Wright Post by: tans on Monday, December 6, 2021, 13:54:19 Suspended from all football and related football activities for 6 years. Apart from coaching.
How does that work? Title: Re: Tommy Wright Post by: Quagmire on Monday, December 6, 2021, 13:55:45 ‘They’re not children!!!!!’
Title: Re: Tommy Wright Post by: tans on Monday, December 6, 2021, 13:57:58 ‘Ones the captain and the other ones 6’5!’
Title: Re: Tommy Wright Post by: Nemo on Monday, December 6, 2021, 13:59:40 Presumably he's been banned because Sheridan couldn't be arsed to be?
Title: Re: Tommy Wright Post by: Audrey on Monday, December 6, 2021, 14:15:23 Have the FA actually said exactly what for?
Title: Re: Tommy Wright Post by: tans on Monday, December 6, 2021, 14:21:40 Taking bribes wasnt he
Title: Re: Tommy Wright Post by: horlock07 on Monday, December 6, 2021, 14:23:43 So are the FA suggesting coaching football is not a football related activity, interesting interpretation.
Title: Re: Tommy Wright Post by: DV on Monday, December 6, 2021, 14:24:56 So are the FA suggesting coaching football is not a football related activity, interesting interpretation. That might just be specific to Wrights methods of coaching though Title: Re: Tommy Wright Post by: Audrey on Monday, December 6, 2021, 14:26:22 Fair time between him being charged and being punished.
Title: Re: Tommy Wright Post by: tans on Monday, December 6, 2021, 14:55:31 Would imagine hes not allowed to be an intermediatery or something.
Cone gathering only for him, which to be honest he was shit at anyway Title: Re: Tommy Wright Post by: Matchworn Shirts on Monday, December 6, 2021, 15:34:24 Have the FA actually said exactly what for? Impersonating a football coach whilst at Swindon Town Title: Re: Tommy Wright Post by: Audrey on Monday, December 6, 2021, 15:41:07 What’s interesting here, is that Wright was charged by the FA of breaking a particular rule - E3. I’m pretty sure that’s the same one the club, Power, Barry and Standing have been charged with.
Title: Re: Tommy Wright Post by: horlock07 on Monday, December 6, 2021, 16:01:31 Written judgement here https://www.thefa.com/news/2021/dec/06/dax-price-and-tommy-wright-written-reasons-061221
Title: Re: Tommy Wright Post by: Audrey on Monday, December 6, 2021, 16:04:00 You would have thought that as he was also found criminally guilty of bribery, the FA punishments should be similar to what they dish out regarding our shit show.
Title: Re: Tommy Wright Post by: horlock07 on Monday, December 6, 2021, 16:09:17 You would have thought that as he was also found criminally guilty of bribery, the FA punishments should be similar to what they dish out regarding our shit show. I think E3 is basically a catch all for improper conduct (I noticed in finding the below that the one above was a charge under E3 for Jack Lester for swearing at the ref, then giving a false name when he was sent from the touchline), the FA website doesn't state what we have been charged under bar... MISCONDUCT IN RELATION TO INTERMEDIARY ACTIVITY Swindon Town FC, Lee Power, First Touch Pro Management & Michael Standing Multiple breaches of The FA’s Regulations on Working with Intermediaries - It is alleged that Swindon Town FC, Lee Power, First Touch Pro Management and Michael Standing breached Intermediary Regulations in relation to the ownership and/or funding of Swindon Town FC. Swindon Town FC, Lee Power, First Touch Pro Management and Michael Standing have until 22 April 2021 to provide responses to their respective charges. Intermediary regs are here https://www.thefa.com/football-rules-governance/policies/intermediaries/regulation-and-forms |
