Firstly, I am sorry, as looking through the player sponsorship email/correspondence I have omitted you from the detail sent out.  I have now listed the available players below, naturally there could be more to follow if you would like to wait for a new signing – Steve Alzate a good one, who looks impressive.  Same package as last season, attached.

We have Alzate, and I have said we will pay over the next few weeks.  They are fine with that being that they forgot to inform us, and we have been sponsoring for a long time.  Once I have the £500 pledged on here I will send out payment details.  Those that have been contributing for the past 3 or 4  years probably have my details anyway.

I have sent out payment details to all that have pledged so far.  As soon as you see that we have hit the £500 target of pledges on here you can start making your payments.  As I am away for the next few weeks, and have told the club that I will pay w/c 20th August, you all have time to make the payment so don't panic.  

If anyone is struggling to hit the 19th August target because of holidays, paycheck dates etc. just let me know via PM and I will cover it in the meantime, as long as I know then we are good.

Anyone that has pledged a tenner and ends up upping it to £20 just pay the £20 instead of £10 I have put in the PM, I am not going to resend.

The Player Sponsorship dinner dates have been announced.

"It gives us great pleasure to be able to announce and confirm the date of our popular annual Sponsors Dinner.  The date for the dinner is Tuesday 19th March, the event as in past seasons will be hosted in our Legends Lounge with doors opening at 7pm for a 7.30pm start."

I'll kick off the draw for the prizes soon.

Prizes will be:

I'd completely forgotten I'd even bought in on the sponsorship this year, so that was a nice surprise.

I suspect coming back to Swindon midweek might not be a runner, so if one (or both) of you did want to attend, you'd be more than welcome to have the tickets. Otherwise I definitely have friends who would go, but better someone who actually paid in gets the prize.

As a donator I would say Berni deserves it for the amount of work he has put in to arrange the last few of these.

Great! Just a thought, why don't we agree that the organiser gets the dinner tickets? That might encourage somebody else to take over when it becomes necessary. As a contributor you should at least be allowed to stay in the draw, or delegate the draw to someone else.

Not having been there myself, I can't really be sure of the context in which it was meant to be taken.

However, what was allegedly said does not appear to be the kind of thing that players or managers would say openly in front of fans if they meant it. This leads me to think the person making the claims has missed the context, deliberately or otherwise. Or something else entirely.

Also, at least 2 people that claim to have been there have said they heard no such things. That in itself doesn't mean it didn't happen, but...
