There are quite a few motors that are cheaper due to being Insurance CAT C or D. I've seen one that is CAT D stolen and recovered. Some will, but will want an inspection report e.g. from the RAC. I think the problem will be if and when you need to claim - the insurance company are going to argue the car was worth very little as it was a write off previously. |
