Couple of weeks without a home game. Bit of a re-group within the dressing room. Wilson has some breathing space with a decent performance under his belt, despite the shit result.

All bodes well for a positive atmos at home vs Carlisle. If we can get our nose in front, we'll win by a country mile, the pressure cooker will spring a massive fucking leak and we'll be climbing up the table towards relative (ish) safety.

i'm being a completely positive cunt. No fucking room for negativity.

We've got to start putting back to back wins together if we have any hope of avoiding the drop.
It's 13 points from the next 5 games and the first win begins today.
2 0 to the Town, can't wait.

0-2 same old, same old. The players / management are still spouting the same old shit in the papers. What's changed? The first goal is absolutely vital. I think the fans will do their part but I fear if we go a goal down. The fans will go to one extreme or the other - greater backing or a complete meltdown. I hope I'm wrong.

Title: Re: Official Swindon v Carlisle Matchday Thread
Post by: Spencer_White on Saturday, February 19, 2011, 09:34:29
Any Swindon fan with a brain needs to be behind the team today. Even if we go a goal down.

If we dont win today then it wont be same old same old, it will be hello League 2.

Title: Re: Official Swindon v Carlisle Matchday Thread
Post by: thedarkprince on Saturday, February 19, 2011, 09:45:40
3-1. Quick out of the blocks and a goal up inside the opening 10 mins.

Need some consistency in the team selection so keep it the same as Colchester with Sheehan in for Rose being the only change.

We're not "down" if we lose today... It won't fecking help though. Every game is a proverbial 'must win' until we are either...

a) Out of this (on the pitch) mess

or

b) Actually relegated.

How about getting behind the team until the very end? That's my plan.

I've got my usual mid Saturday morning positive groove on.  I'm positively thinking of a positive performance resulting in a positive result of 3-1 to the Town.  I'm absolutely fucking positive of that.   :1st:

Title: Re: Official Swindon v Carlisle Matchday Thread
Post by: Peter Venkman on Saturday, February 19, 2011, 10:21:13
I am with you Sam, we can thrash, not just beat but thrash pretty much any team in this league when we click, trouble is we are fully clicking at the moment.

Even with a break of a week and the troops reformed and ready for battle, its a massive game but one I don't think we will get a result from.

I used to be very positive about games but thats waning, a 1-0 defeat totally against the run of play with us all over them from the start but unable to finish, 6,432 crowd, with 52 from Carlisle.

today is the first day of the rest of the season. 2-0 win. But those predicting Douglas to score have seriously tentative grasps of reality. get help. benyon and ritchie. cries of Danny WIlson for President before bedtime.

We desperately need a win, and for some unknown reason think we will sneak it today.

Just hope that if things don't start well that we get behind the team.

2-1 Town, goals for Obika & Benyon

Poor miss by Obika clean through on goal.

Bit harsh, really tight angle

Dossevi misses a header from 6 yards which would have missed if there were two goals together.

And they then score a screamer.

Title: Re: Official Swindon 0-1 Carlisle Matchday Thread

Only going by what Phil King was saying, its hard to get a proper idea from the radio commentary.

Billy Bodin or 4-5-1 at home whilst one nil down.

Nah he came on against Daggers, did OK.

Just as we bring a few more strikers in could do without a load of them going down injured, does Dossevi's problem sound bad?

First half summary.

Started well, created a few chances & didn't score.

They scored

Created a few more chances but still didn't score.

Overall have played fairly well, certainly don't deserve to be behind.

Comedy moment, the Lino giving offside direct from a goal kick, useless cunt

We were the better team in the first half and created a good few half chances. They scored against the run of play with a decent strike from distance. We'll get a draw at best if we're lucky.

Looked like the linesman gave an offside against us from a goal kick. Really shouldn't be making mistakes like that.

Prutton on for Dossevi.

4-5-1 can still be attacking as long as the wide men get up in support of Obika and Prutton can play quite high up the pitch and make forward runs.

Let's get an equaliser soon and this game's got a long way to go yet

Wilson won't be sacked. He's Fitton's loverboy. No chance!

FFS. I predicted this months ago. Won't bother to rant anymore.  End of story.

Good afternoon, by the way. How's the game? Why the fuck are you lot here on TEF and don't in the TE?!?

Dubai to the county ground is abit of a trek!!! plus i'd rather spend 17 quid on hookers here instead then watch the shite coming out of sn1 this season !!

Right now we could do with the "new manager" syndrome, where the players play out of their skins to keep their places. Should be worth a few much needed points alone.

Let's make it a decent manager as well that will keep them playing well (enough).

After Saints we play Walsall, Plymouth and Dagenham.

Get a new manager in, get the morale back in the team, and we could pick up 7 points from those last 3 games.

If Wilson is in charge, i reckon we will get maximum of 3 points

On an unrelated note, the club should stop the fucking players talking shit to the media.

"Struggling Swindon Town will be 'fine' - Matt Ritchie"
"Swindon Town's Benyon & Frampton confident of survival"
"Jon Obika targets safety for Swindon Town"
"Rose wants teams to fear coming to Town"
"We must stick together - Rose"
"THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO DAVID: We can't crumble every time we concede"

These are all from the last couple of weeks, all total bullshit platitudes, clichés and hollow sentiment.

I couldn't take them seriously before, even less so now - there had better not be any more this week.

A quite unbelievable interview, you wouldn't think that we hadn't won for 10 games.

Is Wilson on prozac he sounded so relaxed.

Somebody said that the club is sleepwalking to relegation and they haven't realised.

As for Vic not wanting to ask about being in the bottom 4,because we don't want to talk about that.Yes we do because we can see the urgency.

The performance was good and I thought we were clearly the better team from start to finish. Carlisle never ever looked like scoring and their defenders were slow as fuck.

The attitude was right, the application was right and the performance was good.

Injuries didnt help, although Benyon wasnt fit from the start.

The only thing that was really bad was the result, which is a real shame because the result was the only thing that fucking mattered today.

2 months ago i'd have taken some positives from that performance, too late.

That it, done, season over, relegation, league two.

I thought it was dross. Carlise scored a worldy and did nothing else, but defended brilliantly. Our midfield is full of industry but no skill to break down defences, which was evident today. Our best chances came from balls over the top, which Obika should have done better with.

Utter crap, boring to watch, and a lot of sloppy mistakes. A lot of the players seem visibly nervous, especially cuthbert.

Crowd was shit, though the singing woman was alright at what she does.

Just got back, yes we lok better on the ball than one month ago  but that isn't hard is it for fucksake.

Again for me total utter bullshit subs again by wilson he leaves me totally fucking bemused. He has no iontention whatsoever of playing billy bodin which is fine but if thats the case dont bother putting him on the bench.

2nd half we have a midfield of douglas timlin mcgovern prutton and ritchie dropping back which left obika up against two defenders when first half he had the beating of the centre half everytime.First half was ok he should of left it like it was or just done like for like subs ffs.

Also has anyone else noticed that Frampton is far from a fucking saviour doesn'tn want the ball and to quick to let others take responsibility.

Most who know me know i will support til the end but whether it makes me a moany cunt or not i couldn't give a fuck Wilson has to go i don't give a fuck if the new manager makes a difference because this cunt will take us down simple as that.We had to rebuild in the summer and struggled and we are going to do it again this summer.

Take wembley away ignore that it's the past it's no good him getting us to wembley if it means we end up at fucking barnet away next season.

I personally think we have nothing to lose by getting rid of Wilson now. If he stays we go down, if we get someone else in the we might at least give it a good go.

I would say bringing on prutton for Dossevi was his choice of player he had 4 others to choose from,i would say he chose to put him right midfield instead of mcgovern and would say he chose to play ritchie up front to win the flick ons and ferry left midfield.

Got to say I thought it was a decent game, result apart.  We tended to go for the glory pass instead of the simple one.  Disappointing to see Benyon go off, cos it let Dossevi into the game and his contribution . . . one easy chance spurned, one offside and a pass from the half way line to set up their goal and then he's gone.  Waste of good oxygen!  Too many players running around like headless chickens in the second half when a bit of quality was required.

But we were matching them already ffs mcgovern and ritchie were doing fine where they were they were our most dangerous outlets he changed the whole midfield system around for the sake of one striker. I agree about bodin he isn;t our saviour but why put him on the bench at all if you have no confidence in him

I hate to say it but I think we need a Pericard type player up front who will draw the defenders away from Benyon & Obika to get them goals.  Dossevi is truly awful 2nd touch of the game and it goes straight to the Carlisle player who scores a 35 yarder.

Caddis rightly got man of the match today he is settling in to the team.  Despite the loss i still remain confident we'll stay up but we need to get that elusive win soo and another striker is Benyon is injured long term

Do you know what his other interests are?

His other interests is hookers and cellphones

I'd say if he'd only pay attention to his communcation interests, he'd rather still be the chairman of Hungerford FC

The fact that he's paid off the former owners at Swindon, done brilliant things to get the club in balance (even plus profit) is very much accepted - but the way he has run the management staff business at STFC surely tells me (hopefully; us all) that he is not the most competent guy in judging what kind of manager is best for a football club. I mean; Maurice Malpas??

(No, Coz - I'm not saying I would done a better job. I would not)

I wonder what role Jeremy Wray and his betting firm partners have in negotiating and scouting managers/coaching staff::

Paul Sturrock recommended Maurice Malpas to the club. In other words, Fitton didn't really make the signing - only the formal parts of it.

Danny Wilson wasn't even in the runnings when we were searching for a new manager. He was still at Hartlepool. Then he got sacked (resigned? oh, he wouldn't...!), and suddenly came into the limelight as the new Swindon manager. Did DW come forward to Fitton him self?

Fitton has done a good great deal for the club, and I love him for that. I just don't think he (or Paul Sturrock) is the man to find us the right kind of manager.

Can we afford to buy Nicky Hammond off Reading as our Football Director?? I would forgive him the two points lost at London Road back in the glory days if so!  ???

I think we're doing a disservice to Carlisle who I thought soaked it all up at the back and looked pretty comfortable. How many saves did their keepr make? The guy who scored their "worldy" had set his sights a few minutes earlier by clearing the bar. They also put some pretty good crosses in. I don't think they were ace but they were professional - something we are miles away from.
Until the goal we looked Ok and up for it but then the heads go down again. Our decision making near the box was fucking awful, we always chose the wrong ball but very well summed up by Obika taking on the shot instead of playing in Ferry for a tap in. Ritchie, in particular made some bad decisions. Its not bad luck we didn't make more of our possession near the box, it was because we were shit. In the 2nd half yet again players were hiding and playing useless balls - because firstly, they wanted rid of the ball and secondly because the movement in front of them was non existent. We are completely and utterly toothless and maybe without Austin we'd have been in the crap earlier. As for the subs today - why the hell did Dossevi some on?
As it stands i can't even see where our next win is coming from let alone sufficient points to keep us up.
I'm not sure what the hell we can do now. Put the youngters in on the basis they can't be any more shit than what we've got and they may well put the effort in - they may get better but our established players won't.
One thing's for sure Wilson has got to go and go now. We need to get someone in ( even if its Zippy ) before the Southampton game but more importantly before Walsall, D&R and Plymouth.

Reality bites and we are down.

Huff puff and loads of guff.

Never ever looked liked scoring....ever......ever.  Obikas header straight at the keeper the best we could muster in 90 plus minutes....what a load of shit.

Wilson will come out with the usual bollocks but I am sorry Danny your time is up.....nobody can save us BUT somebody new must come in and have a few games before the drop to see what he's got before the trap door slams shut and we are in divvy 2.

No positives for today....BUT.....if prutton comes on and shines it means the team is shite!

On this showing I might even give the planned piss up at Saints a miss....I cannot be bothered with this shitN I reallyy can't!

Carlisle shit too and they are safe as houses.........I am fucking pissed off with this crapn I really am!

Then we can worry about next season, next season. I just want that to be in this division.

It's been a bizarre season, insofar up until December, we were only a bit shit, and it looked like with a bit of tinkering here and there, we might have an OK side...but since early December more or less everything has backfired, and we've ended up with a side not capable of competing in this league.

What is most bizarre, is that this has happened on the watch of Wilson, an experienced manager, had it been some tyro like Iffy it would have been more understandable.

But we've now got a side completely lacking in the sort of qualities needed for a relegation scrap.

Sack Wilson over the weekend and get In Gary Johnson to try & motivate the team before it is too late....... this season has been a shambles and we've gone backwards:
- all Fittons purchases appear to be investment projects for the future, the experience of Greer has not been replaced and we've tried to replace Austins goals on the cheap, which you would thought we would have learnt after the abject failure of dossevi / pericard.
- we need a director of football to act as a buffer between manager / board
- relegation to D2 with our squad would be totally unacceptable

neither did Lucas. Nuff said. We just werent good enough to open up a pretty poor side.

Their number 14 looked class, and that huge lump at the back looked a cut above until he got injured, but they had fuck all else. trouble was we had fuck all at all

do i remember their keeper tipping over a cuthbert header? or is that just rosy tinted hindsight

I've got no problems with the critique of Danny Wilson but can people please stop revising the last two years it weakens any arguments that you have. I've got more time for people who just tell it like it is instead of posts that seemingly disregard that Wilson kept us in the division in 2009 and took us to Wembley in 2010.

Nobody can argue that on the basis of this season, Danny Wilson is on borrowed time in a big way and, yes, should probably be out of the job by now. Nobody will go "well that's a bit harsh" if Wilson was to go in the near future.

Football is fickle.

It started off quite promisingly with the 'team huddle' and the crowd were really behind the team.  I felt strangely optimistic and had actually started to believe some of the crap that's been coming out of the player's mouths in the last week and honestly thought we would win.  How stupid am I?  We probably didn't deserve to go 1 down, but we had ample time to turn it around and yet again failed miserably.  We could still be playing now and wouldn't have scored.  Everyone seemed to want to go for glory today hitting shots from much to far out etc instead of playing somebody else in.

Carlisle weren't great, but they were better organised than us, defended better and most importantly played as a team.  We might look better than we did a month ago (hardly difficult), but we're still completely disjointed as a team and at times a complete shambles.

Benyon having to go off early on and being replaced by Dossevi who then also had to go off was unfortunate.  However, as others have pointed out what is the purpose of having Billy Bodin on the bench when Wilson is clearly never going to play him.  I can't believe he would do a worse job than Dossevi and it must be pretty soul destroying for the lad.  Yet again in the interview after the game, Wilson was harping on about lack of firepower being the issue.   Well, why haven;t you tried to do something about it then, surely there must be players available to bring in on loan?  We now have 1 fit striker for a relegation battle - fucking marvellous.  I felt compelled to listen to his interview on the way home from the game, not sure why because as each one passes I get more insensed by the utter crap that comes out of his mouth.  In fact, I'd go so far as to say I'm starting to despise the bloke!

As it stands now, I can actually see us going the remainder of the season without winning and finishing bottom of League 1.   The board have imo cost us at least 9 points by leaving Wilson in charge and it may be too late to make a change now anyway.  However, we are going to be relegated under him, so our only chance (slim as it may be) of surviving is to relinquish him of his responsibilities with immediate effect and get someone in for the remainder of the season.  Nobody could actually do a worse job than he's currently doing.

I'm so pissed off with it all and quite frankly the way I feel at the moment, I won't be attending another Swindon game whilst Danny Wlson remains in charge.  I'm not prepared to sit and watch my team go out of League 1 without a battle and at the moment, that's exactly what's happening.  They can all fuck off tonight as far as I'm concerned.

THIS

Never should have lost. Main problem was never looked like scoring despite making chances. Which wouldn't be an issue if it was a one off. But it isn't, its the rest of our fucking season.

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q232/LouPickney/game-over.jpg

AND THIS

The performance was good and I thought we were clearly the better team from start to finish. Carlisle never ever looked like scoring and their defenders were slow as fuck.

The attitude was right, the application was right and the performance was good.

Injuries didnt help, although Benyon wasnt fit from the start.

The only thing that was really bad was the result, which is a real shame because the result was the only thing that fucking mattered today.

2 months ago i'd have taken some positives from that performance, too late.

That it, done, season over, relegation, league two.

cunt.

I actually thought we played alright, but if you lose when you play OK then there isn't much hope left.

And FWIW Danny Boy, if you have no intention of ever playing him then don't bother putting Bodin on the bench

What position does Bodin play then? I was under the impression he's a striker, never seen him play though.

Frankly I think it's more or less irrelevant who we replace Wilson with, it just needs to happen quickly and we better hope for a small miracle in terms of 'new manager effect' getting us a few points.

I'm surprised to see people comment on this squad being too good to go down, even those who performed well last season have gone backwards and others who have come in have had little positive to add.

A couple of things, I liked the falling in love with you singing at the start.

The linesman on drs can stick his flag up his arse rather than flag for a goal kick offside.

We did ok but lacked any connection with 20 yards to go, fucking clueless to be honest and I have to agree with the Bodin comments why pick him to sit on the bench? He isn't the answer, probably, but who fucking knows if we never see him. I would wager quite heavily though he is better than Dossevi.

I've watched him play a handful of times over the last few years at Under 18s level, reserve team and pre-season friendlies against the likes of Chippenham.

I think I've seen him play upfront once and on the left wing all the other times.

That makes me far from an expert on what his position actually is but I've certainly seen him play wide left alot more times than I have seen him play upfront.

We're looking well fucked now.

The lack of anything resembling a half decent strike force was what we all feared would take us down if we flogged Austin in the transfer window without spending money on adequate replacements.  That fear is now a reality, and it's not very fucking pleasant.

Obika and Benyon may be OK when fully fit, who knows, but I'm not convinced that that pairing is the one that will fire us out of trouble in a relatively short run of games between now and the end of the season.

Wilson and Fitton have now proved that trying to build a side with an unbalanced blend of youth, promising stars of the future and experienced pro's is a bit hit and miss. For every Charlie Austin, you seem to get half a dozen or so Thomas Dossevie's / Vinny Pericards. That's great for your incoming revenue when you flog the Charlie Austin's, but it's shite for the long term prospects of the side when you're relying on 4th rate strikers to do business that is so obviously beyond their individual and collective capabilities, as we're seeing now.

We really should not be in such a weak position where we have a fairly decent squad of players all over the park, but with virtually fuck all up front.

Regardless of Fitton's apparent meddling in team matters, Wilson has to carry the can as he's the man in the hot seat. Has he fucked off yet :bye:

Totally agree about the lack of strikeforce being a problem.  It was apparent to me (and so should have been to anyone who knows more about the game as I'd hope our management team do) even in the early part of the season that we were over-reliant on Austin's goals.  From early in the season it was difficult to see where goals were coming from without him.  We should have been planning for back-up even if he had stayed.  Without him, the feared scenario has played itself out - 1 goal in 5 home games this year is pitiful.
I thought there were signs that the Benyon / Obika partnership could work yesterday but when EB went off we were back to no 2nd striker.

I also wonder why Bodin is picked for the bench if there is no intention to play him.  When asked in the post-match interview Wilson said he didn't bring him on beacuse he's too small - surely he can't be much smaller than Benyon who he'd be replacing?  Or possibly why not try a different option of putting him on left wing, switching Ritchie to right and replacing JP who seemed to find Carlisle players with every ball yesterday!

I didnt hear that - by the time I got back to the car Wilson's interview was ending.
Did he really say that?
If so, then that is unforgiveable - Poor Bodin must be checking the fixture list for when we play Dwarf Rovers in the hope he gets a start then.
He's big enough for the bench, but not for the game? FFS ok he isnt an Aden Flint but he's bigger than Ritchie - and Ferry for that matter
I am staggered that wilson would have said such a thing - almost like saying "I didnt bring him on because he is a ginge" (which would of course be acceptable)

I think both Bodin and Evans will both get new deals, if they want to sign them. Given the fragility of a professional football career, they will sign.

Seven subs at this level is quite a luxury and that's why Bodin is in the first team squad at the moment... So like Dave says, Wilson is making up the numbers.

It's a great way to integrate younger players into the senior set-up though.

I think Danny Wilson regrets throwing on Macklin in a match we had to win 2 years ago. Macklin made a mistake and the crowd went completely mental.

Besides the clamour to play him has been OTT.

The problem weve had this season is that Wilson has changed the side and quite often things have got worse. You only go 1 way when that happens. Too many players not up to the job.

Yesterday was dreadful with the exception of the first 15-20minutes...good atmosphere with the crowd willing the team on, even a couple of half attempts at goal. They scored a good goal, Benyon was off, Dossevi on....he is hopeless, clueless  everything that ends in `less`

Now is the time in the remaining home matches for us the supporters to vent our feelings about DW....not at the end of the game but right from the start......I love STFC...but we are fucked...and we have been fucked up by DW this season ( not last season but right now ) he is completely fucking things up and we MUST let our feeling be heard.

I hate going to games and listening to fans complaining about the manager all the time BUT the time has come and he must go now

Taking off the injured Dossevi and replacing him with Prutton when we're 1-0 down tells you that Wilson really doesn't think Bodin (as he was the only striker left on the bench) is ready for 1st team football.
Strange why he was on the bench in the first place if that's the case.

Maybe he thought he might bring him on if we were 2 up with 10 mins left, bit of experience for the lad to help him get ready for the tougher more chalenging games (like yesterday actually ended up being like)?

I dunno, we're not exactly over run with competition for all our sub places, I don't think it's the end of the world.

Not sure I completely agree, but I can certainly see why Bodin can be on the bench and not ready to be thrown into a game where there's a lot of pressure to battle a comeback.

I think Danny Wilson regrets throwing on Macklin in a match we had to win 2 years ago. Macklin made a mistake and the crowd went completely mental.
I think you're right on the money there Spencer. Ironically, I suspect some of those calling for Bodin to play are possibly the same people (not necessarily on here) who defended their "right" to get on Macklin's back when he was a young kid making his debut. If our crowd were a bit more supportive of our home-grown players, our managers might be more prepared to throw them in earlier

I don't think anyone is particularly calling for Bodin to play as such. As I have said before, there is no point in Wilson putting him on the bench if he has no intention of playing him. If he doesn't want to throw Bodin in, then don't even name him amongst the subs. This I think, is the point people are making. Send him out on loan to Forest Green or wherever. There's no point in him warming the bench week in week out with no prospect of getting on.

If I remember rightly he did give Bodin a run at Daggers when we were 2-1 down with just a few minutes to go in the game. Bodin didn't disgrace himself in those few minutes. Why home to Carlisle should make any difference I don't know, perhaps (if DW is saying he is too small) he's shrunk in the last few months?

That might be the point you were making OST but there was plenty around me yesterday calling for him to come on who were just as vocal in getting on Macklin's back. Which irritated me a little.

I'm not sure people rejoiced when Morrison left, just saw it as a good bit of business. I don't think Morrison got much better in the last season and a half.

They revealed quite a bit of what they're looking at doing at the AGM. You can check back and see what was said on here and in the Adver at the time. Not sure where you got September from.

There are a huge number of substitute places to be filled on the bench nowadays. Sometimes its a case of just making up the numbers.

...and Bodin will never gain any experience sat on the bench anyway.

My gripe is less about whether Bodin gets used or not but more so the fact we've been a striker short since July. Lost 2 in Austin and Ball and got 2 in, in Benyon and Obika - which still leaves us at least a striker short anyway.

We should have got another striker in, in August, or September or January or 2 days ago...

No doubt. Don't get me wrong, not saying he was crap but £250k for a defender we could develop no further is not too shabby.

replacing him with a non league player and an injured defender was a master stroke though.

Considering we haven't seen much of Flint and nothing of Misun, that's completely unfair. Did you say the same when Austin signed for us and replaced Cox?

Anyway all this talk of Morrison is completely irrelevant, we haven't put a similar clause in Bodin's contract as far as I'm aware.

I found out a bit of info yesterday.
Firstly, they will be developing the Town End.
They will also be knocking down the Arkells and rebuilding and putting a roof on the Stratton Bank.
The capacity won't be much more than it is now, but there will be a lot more room for corporate functions, restaurant, etc.

this info came from Adam Wainwright.

We all know he won't be sacked, It just isn't going to happen, Fitton is so far up his arse that he won't get rid.

As for The Football League Show saying most fans are backing Wilson that's absolute bollocks, Most fans want him sacked!!

I thought exactly the same.  In fact, I can't believe that there are still people like 'Brad' around who'd texted in to say as much.  What will it take for some people to realise that Wilson is not going to keep us in League 1.  When we finish bottom of the table? Even then they're probably some people who think he should be given the opportunity to bring us back up from League 2.

Fitton has to take some responsibility for the mess we're in as well imo.  Ok he saved us from extinction and for that I'll be enternally grateful, but we've gone completely backwards on the field under the various policies around buying and selling he appears to have instigated.

Oh God, don't get me started on this one. Classic example. Christine Aquilera butchering the American National Anthem before the Super Bowl. It's a great song and tune which stands up on its own without any embelishment. It's about the song, not you, you stupid self centered talentless bitch! The stupid cow even got one of the lines wrong at one point. Stupid bitch. I think it's what 'X Factor' judges (and just what the fuck do they know anyway?) call 'vocal dexterity'. Fuck off.

I won't complain though - I've thought for many years they need to get us singing I Can't Help Falling in Love With You before the game instead of playing some dross over the tannoy. It created an atmosphere rather than kill it. I couldn't even hear the girl because the town end drowned it out :)

I really do think now is the time to get rid of Wilson, up until now I've been of the opinion that we should keep him and he will turn it around, after this result I just cant see it, yes it is a risk replacing him but equally I think if Wilson remains this is an even bigger risk.

The failure to bring on Bodin is just wrong, yes he is inexperienced and yes he is going to be a bit lightweight but do not put players on the bench if you have no intention of using them, there are other players available to sit on the bench.

Taking the vice captains armband away from Cuthbert and giving this to Lucas must really send a message of confidence to Cuthbert and help his motivation

The formation in the second half was all over the place, Richie playing up front then back on the left, Wilson's favorite player out on the right then in the middle, JPM in the middle, Timlin on the left (sort of)

To give us a fighting chance please Mr Fitton do the right thing, take your head out of the sand and remove Mr Wilson from the managers chair and quickly find us another manager who knows his tactics and is able to motivate players - and knows how to change a game if things are not going right

At least when Ferry came on he had a good go - and he knew he had the crowd behind him as well

The story I heard about that was that while he was literally upset at the decision he understood the reasoning behind it. Namely that he needed to concentrate on his own form/game.
