Seeing as there seem to be a lot of fashion gurus on the TEF can we have some honest opinions of what you wouldn't feel comfortable wearing?

For me....

3/4 length trousers
Flip flops
T-Shirts with "funny" wording
Anything yellow  :)
Skinny jeans

I agree with the last three.

I'm currently sporting a "Did you touch my drumset?" t-shirt. It's ace.

I don't mind T-Shirts with comic value, I just wouldn't wear one (could be my age  :) ). I remember they used to have some great T-Shirts in Viz.

I look shit in any shirt sold as "slim fit"

i  wear flip flops with my cargo shorts, i find wearing trainers with shorts makes my legs look skinny :D

I disagree. We've had some great weather recently and it's so much nicer to be wearing flip flops than trainers/shoes. As for bob's complaints about the noise, I do see your point, but I've now mastered them to the extent that I can walk down an escalator without making the irritating slapping sound. It just takes a bit of practice. And finesse.

I'm a bloke, therefore I wear t-shirts all year round.  For a few weeks of summer, this is with shorts.  For the rest of the year, I have a pair of jeans.

As perhaps the most fashionable man on the forum, I find t-shirt and jeans look to go well. Sometimes with a jacket, depending on the weather.

As somewhat of a style guru, i abhor scarves indoors and skinny jeans. Especially the ones that only reach mid-hamstring on some twatty kids.

In the current climate, tees or polos with some nice cargo shorts and flip-flops/birks are my attire of choice.

For the uneducated (me), what are birks and rifts?

Ok, a blazer and decent T-Shirt is alright but to wear something emblazoned with a logo or even worse a polo shirt just fucking looks like a wankers paradise.

Birks is short for Birkenstock.  They are a German brand that do various sorts of leather sandals and flip flops.  I think Rifts are those soft trainer things from Nike with a velcro strap across them (might be wrong though?)

I wouldn't wear:

anything Superdry
trainers with a big toe bit
those trainers that look like big plasters
an arabic scarf
skinny jeans
jeans with intentional holes in
high-top trainers
anything with any kind of writing on it (beyond a small logo)

Why ever not?  I think trainers with a big toe bit, a pair of skinny jeans, an arabic scarf and a Superdry t-shirt with writing all over it would make a fetching outfit  ;D

I have a Dennis the Menace jumper that I like to wear in the winter time.

I got some pretty sick Adidas high-tops. Red and black with snake skin effect on the top of the foot.
Adidas Forest Hills, Sky blue and illuminous yellow.
My skinny fit jeans got shrunk in the wash too, although I have put on quite a bit of weight recently. 11.5 stone now. Fat bastard I am.

What the hell are those tops that don't have a proper collar all about? You know, the ones that have a kind of built in scarf / snood.

I'd say it was some strange fad for the fashion slave brain dead. Yet I still have no explanation for the continuing popularity of Ugg boots.

i think its a girl thing... i dont know a single bloke who thinks they look good or enhance a girls attractiveness. chavvy and impractical.

I know a few blokes that wear them. Not cool.

Ugg boots are just plain wrong.

Maybe they're just comfortable....don't know like, but it is possible that some women don't just wear stuff to increase their attractiveness....

i regularly wear bright colours, have several woolly hats of varying colours and wear a pair of bright blue puma high tops, last year i had a pair of flouro pink plimsolls but my mate's dog's had a go at them

I believe the second are known as hareem pants.  And when I work in Hoxton or shoreditch they can be seen in their natural habitat.  A habitat full of nathan barley wankers.

I had an (English) mate at University who bought Ugg Boots and wore them to meet us at a (Welsh) pub to watch the England vs. Wales football match last year.

We threw them in the sea. Also punched him because he let our country down in front of Taffs. Peer Pressure in action!

I hate that I walk into any vaguely trendy high street shop where the clothes aren't made by slave labour and can't buy men's clothes any more. They're all women's, cunningly disguised with a 'menswear' label. Genius move by the shops though, only having to produce half the designs they used to.
