Unfortunately,all is not well within the England camp and the position of coach Peter Moores
has become a big issue.He hasn't been able to have a rapport with present captain Kevin Pietersen,
nor with Michael Vaughan.It seems that the current situation cannot continue and with ECB meetings
planned,the situation needs to be resolved,one way or another,before the tour to the Carribean.

It's the Martin Johnson for England Rugby Union idea all over again, and that's not exactly got off to a flier.

 This is an interesting development...personally I wouldn't have had Moores in the first place. It should always be the best man for the job..rather than someone who got the politics right.

 Now having said that, it begs the question who is in charge of England....if it is the coach, then it should be Pieterson who goes, because you can't have him picking his own man...if it is now Pieterson in charge, there's no point in appointing another coach, as we've already got a raft of skill coaches.

I'd like there to be some fall-out from this. I love a good slanging match.

It looks as if Pietersen was going to be pushed anyway.  I wouldn't be surprised if that was what was behind the 'resignation'.

ECB is clueless .. if they had appointed a half decent coach instead of Steve McLaren alike Peter Moores this would never have happened ...

If England lose Pietersen as a result of this we will be crapper than ever!!

So the word is Pietersen said it's him or me and, quite rightly, the ECB told him to get fucked and they won't be dictated to.

Strauss, now in form again, is the man for the job anyway, let KP concentrate on being the best batsman in the world. If he quits altogether because of this then he can go pivot anyway.

fuck pieterson. and how on earth can you compare moores to maclaren? did maclaren  win 3 premierships and an fa cup with middlesborough? thought not.

Haven't they both been sacked? Well that's not confirmed but that's the rumour on BBC earlier.

I thought that Pietersen's reign would end in tears but not this soon and not because of this.

As long as Pietersen keeps playing, this could be a blessing in disguise.

I'd agree with that.

However, PR wise at least, English Cricket seems to be engaged in not so much shooting itself in the foot as picking up a fully loaded machine gun and letting rip at itself.

Just when the Aussies were looking weak as well.

What we need is a Captain who isn't afraid to chuck the ball to KP and say "son, go and get me a wicket".

That's what will win us the Ashes :)
