Title: Where wpould we Groundshare? Post by: The Grim Reaper on Friday, January 21, 2005, 18:58:04 Assuming a redeveloped County Ground goes ahead and for whatever reason we have to share a ground with another club, where would you prefer?
Personaly i'm on favour of Cheltenham as we don't have too much rivalry with them! Title: Where wpould we Groundshare? Post by: DMR on Friday, January 21, 2005, 19:02:18 Reading for the facilities and easy access
Plus it would piss them right off Title: Where wpould we Groundshare? Post by: Dazzza on Friday, January 21, 2005, 19:04:49 Rovers for me, not fond of Cheltscum. While Rovers are like humans in Hitch Hikers Gide to The Galaxy. Mostly Harmless.
I didn't get to the old forum a week or so ago, but from the impression I get from the Trust site is that we are much more likely looking at a partial development of the CG. Probably something like Charlton's New Valley. May be no need to move although if it does ever happen we may well only have 2 sides for a season or so. Title: Where wpould we Groundshare? Title: Where wpould we Groundshare? Post by: Johno on Saturday, January 22, 2005, 08:15:18 yeh cheltenham, annoyance for travel though and its small..... but small don't matter any way!
Title: Where wpould we Groundshare? Post by: Reg Smeeton on Saturday, January 22, 2005, 10:53:30 At our last home game we had just over 5000, if we had to groundshare you could knock a 1000 of of that........imagine 4000 in the MadStad, surrounded by all that empty blue plastic......whereas Whaddon Road with 4000 in it would look OK.
Title: Where wpould we Groundshare? Post by: Simon Pieman on Saturday, January 22, 2005, 10:56:23 yes reg better atmosphere too.
does make you wonder what the atmosphere would be like in a new ground Title: Where wpould we Groundshare? Post by: reeves4england on Saturday, January 22, 2005, 21:07:31 weird!
Title: Where wpould we Groundshare? Post by: janaage on Monday, January 24, 2005, 10:39:33 None of the above. Let's just not play for a year. We could all go to Australia for a year out.
Title: Where wpould we Groundshare? Post by: STFCBird on Monday, January 24, 2005, 10:46:27 gotta be Reading, their stadium is pretty cool and easy to get to.
Title: Where wpould we Groundshare? Post by: Simon Pieman on Monday, January 24, 2005, 10:54:21 surely it would cost too much to groundshare with reading? Also they wouldn't want us to because rugby is also played there

Post by: yeo on Monday, January 24, 2005, 19:06:49 Bristol Rovers aren't that harmless.I think we should share it 1 week at each excluding Cheltenham that would make for a very exciting season indeed. :soapy tit wank:

They've wanted to be a part of London for a long time. Although Brentford may have it as winners in 1942. Title: Where wpould we Groundshare?
