Anyway, at the time i thought it was good business, as long as Curo and Cock could work well together. And so it has proved.

i didnt think it was a good deal! to be honest i still dont, when we get the points to be safe, i will admit its a good deal!

Well £300k was a great deal for a player with 6 months left on his contract.

Fallon was a great player, but he couldnt play with another striker upfront.  He didnt gel with Parkin, Mooney, Roberts Thorpe.

Him leaving has enabled us to play two strikers upfront who look decent.  Cureton has scored a few, and Peacock does all the dirty work.

I personally would prefer Peacock and Cureton   to  Cureton and Fallon    :D

We do seem more of a team without him.  Maybe this has nothing to do with him leaving, maybe it does.  as long as it continues I'm happy.

Since Fallon has gone we have scored 5 goals in 5 games, winning 1-0 is all well and good, but soon a team will punish us for not scoring more than one.

Look at Bournemouth, they pulled 2 goals back against us, so many teams in the division are capable of doing it. Even the Gills with 10 men looked able to get a goal back and get a draw.

We need to start putting games to bed because soon we will be punished for it.

Not much to do with Fallon I know, but I still think we could do with more goals to make games safe.

Dan that's a fantastically evasive answer!  Before Fallon we didn't really score that many goals - Fallon was the only player who looked like scoring and rarely managed more than one a game if he did score.

Now we have two strikers who look like scoring - Peacock's already got one, and Cureton is currently on fire.  The midfield are now also getting more involved because we no longer seem to be resorting to the long ball quite so early!

I think it's fantastic business for the club - I think Peacock is a better player than Fallon and he's a hell of a lot cheaper!!

I was bricking it too, we were just defending as we do if were winning for the last ten minutes.

I was,but for the last few home games i've been sat there hardly able to watch.All these tight finishes are turning me into an emotional and physical wreck :oops:

i was worried but thats the thrill of it.

how boring would it be be if we kept winning 3 or 4 nill all the time.

at least this way we have enjoyment and a tense finish

Fallon is NOT a great player

He has had 6 mths of achievement (ie goalscoring) in his entire career.

Anyone who thinks that makes him a great player is either a retarded monkey, or a small child.

He isnt a great player, but we arent a great team and to claim we've all of a sudden got better without him, is in my opinion wrong.

We've beat 3 truely awful teams and our good run of form started much further back when Fallon was here.

I don't disagree with that.

I was just pointing out that those that think we have a lost a great (even good) player are wrong.
