Title: Ratings v Gills Post by: Piemonte on Wednesday, February 15, 2006, 12:51:31 bit of an essay, but I'm bored.
Evans - 7 - other than get booked for (rightfully) confronting Byfiled after his slightly bizzare and unneccessary chalenge he didnt really have anything to do did he? J Smith - 8 - Defended well, some decent balls going forward Nicholas - 8 - Same as smith really, just seemed to get up and down a little more. Excellent comedy effort of standing on the ball late on in the TE / NW corner :D O'Hanlon - 8 Solid, reilable Ifill - 8 - same as sean'o. In gerneral the defence is looking solid. P Smith - 7 - was doing well before getting injured. Gurney -4- Worst player on the pitch for me. positionally poor, shit distribution. no matter what the circmustances seemed to make the wrong decision. Shakes - 7 - Not as good as the last 2 home games but still effective. Brown - 7- a decent hardworking performance I thought. unremarkable. Cureton -7- played well, another great finish. gets marked down for being a greedy cunt in the 2nd half. has a tendancy to take too many touches The Cock -8- As Iffy said, great work rate. Offers a good physical presence up front. Ref didnt seem to like him much, got a load of free kick awarded against him. I have faith that the goals will come. SUBS: Migs - 6- did alright i thought. Roberts -5- dont want to be harsh as it was good to see him back, but he wasnt very good was he? I'm sure he'll get better though IFFY - 8- got the team selection right (to be fair it did pretty much pick itself though. Personally I'd have given uncle Albert a go down the left with 15 mins left, but there you go. Needs to stop the defence dropping so fucking deep late on, although that is something that has been a problem for years now. We need to learn how to kill teams off. Title: Ratings v Gills Post by: janaage on Wednesday, February 15, 2006, 13:16:44 Killing teams off is boring, I love these nervous endings to our matches at the moment, real adrenaline rush at the final whistle.
Although I wouldn't mind if we managed a couple of 4 or 5 nils. Title: Ratings v Gills Post by: reeves4england on Wednesday, February 15, 2006, 13:35:22 Last night it was a stroll for the players, which makes it hard to give them high ratings
Evans 6 - Did almost nothing but make easy saves. Came off his line well Shakes 6 - Pace is great but im not joking when I say I could have scored that chance Gurns 4 - He was playing?! Ifil 7 - Made some great tackles and is in good form Curo 7 - Ran around a lot all game and stretched the defence. Should have scored atleast one more Roberts 5 - only had a few touches and did nothing wrong Title: Ratings v Gills Post by: DV on Wednesday, February 15, 2006, 14:28:18 Would give Gurney a higher rating, not much higher but he was better than a 4.....again did the ugly work no one notices....
