Title: Snowboardin Post by: stfc_carver on Monday, February 13, 2006, 09:36:59 over the last 2 days ive been a lazy wanker n rarely looked away from the tele. just now i was watchin the womens half-pipe snowboardin and some british bird comes to have a go.....o dear. she drops into the half-pipe n crashes flat on her arse - end of run. brits doin us proud at the winter olympics again. o well, theres still the curling.

i watched the one event where they go down the mini slope to get some speed then jump of it and have to go as far as possible, that was good to watch. Its a fact that men are better at all sports than women, therefore making the games/competitions better spectacles for the neutral spectator, and making things like womens ice hockey seem, well a bit crap.

Once every 4 years means that its feels fresh for a fortnights mega viewing. I felt really sad at the thought of not seeing Georg Hackl doing the Luge again....that's 20 years now and 6 Olympics he's been there....seems like an old friend. Plus he comes up loads in quizzes. We had 2 fellas in the luge one fell off t'other did alright.....he may have been the highest finisher from a country without a Luge course.
