I don't have any decent software and I'm not particularly creative so this is the best I could do with powerpoint!
I wanted to put the old crest in the top right corner but I can't find a decent enough image..

Pefer that one to the current one. As you said the sold badge in the empty panel would look good. Maybe some white in the gree and red stripped panels

I like the idea of a bit of latin in there like the old 'Salubritas et Industria' (SP?) I think it menas healthy and industrious.  IMHO we should ditch the green, no real reason to add it in the first place in 1991.  Were we actually founded in 1879 or wa it 1881?  Nice blackbirds too :wink:

You should change the latin to read (translated) as "best viewed when drunk"

I actually think that is quite good. Presumably on the real thing, if ever there was one, you would have a couple of robins where those black birds are?

Also, I would place it in the middle of the shirt. I think that looks better.

Strangely enough they are actually robins (clip-art at least) I just wanted then in silhouette!

No I think the over all effect is good. I think it's time we had a new badge. The club could make a competition out of it and the winner gets a couple of season tickets or something.

Good effort Brighton Red, much better than the present badge.

It's about 100 times better than the current one, which looked naff and eighties, and very outdated from the day it was introduced.

Do you do this sort of thing for a living?

You need to find out if people actually want a new badge first before you go and jump in. But I personally would support the idea. Not that i am any good at that sort of thing!

I dont like it at all. Sorry Brighton Red. You cant have two old badges in the quarters, it would never get made. And the blackbirds posing as robins are shit too.

Fair play for having a good crack though.

My favourite is also the old railway one. But I dont think the current one is so bad. Just needs a bit of sprucing up. Few more outlines etc.

Obviously the trains are because of the towns railway links. The elephant is there because everybody loves elephants, harder to draw than you'd think aswell. The was gonna be a giraffe in there aswell but I got bored trying to draw one.
