Title: LCD's
Post by: Dazzza on Tuesday, February 7, 2006, 14:35:34
Anyone have any serious suggestions for a 32" under a grand?

I've been looking at the £750+ bracket and they're all the bloody same spec.

All HDTV ready and I can't fathom out what the difference is except for the models crammed with freeview which I'm not fussed as I'm going to get that Sky 160+ deal thing.

No. going to start looking if/when we sell our house. New house, new TV.

But if you buy a new TV do you want to shell out on a Sky+ 160 when Sky HD is round the corner?

That said, Sky HD is bound to be fuck off expensive when it comes out and get cheaper as time goes by, much like Sky+ did.

It's the new High Definition TV service they're bringing out.

That's not HDTV ready   :D

Not that I could bloody tell the difference anyway.

I've got  deal on a 160+ box so may as well take it up.

Sky HD provides HD pictures to your HD ready TV   So you get the most (picture wise) out of your new HD ready LCD. You will need a different box from the regular Sky+ box and possibly it may be a chargable service (e.g. £10 per month).  It hasn't launched yet.

But when it launches only some programs on a few channels will make HD broadcasts, and even then only some programs on that channel.

Dazzza, why don't you buy What hi-fi sound & vision magazine and look at the reviews in the back. They're always pretty much spot on
