Title: Banner Display V Rotheram Post by: louavo on Monday, February 6, 2006, 18:36:56 This is an appeal to all town fans.
For the Rotheram game we would like to put on a large display of banners and flags on Stratton Bank. This is to tie in with the clubs promotion on £5 tickets for friends of season ticket holders. I have spoken to Ron Topp the stadium manager about this and we have the club's full backing. The idea is to brighten up that end of the ground which would undoubtedly otherwise be empty. Here's how it's going to work: Please speak to as many people that you know to see if they have any we can use, as not everyone will see our appeals. Then the plan is for everyone to get their stuff to the ground well in advance of kick off, resulting in either us putting them out for you, or you being allowed in yourselves to put them out. We can be in the ground that day as early as 9am to put them out. We can collect them from anyone living in Swindon if you wish, but why not come along on the day and introduce yourself. If anyone can help make it a great display it would be very much appreciated. PM me or any of the other loud and proud guys if you wish to remain annonymous. Please help spread the word and lets make the bank look great, decked out in club banners on the day. Thanks.
