I thought a pitch invasion meant an automatic ban and fine? Didn't think it was down to the discretion of the club? No it's not. It's a criminal offence to go on the playing area while a match is in progress. And they define the playing area as all the areas around the pitch as well. He could still have shot McLaren from the stands, in fact, being further away he might have caused more carnage by having to get a full 6 rounds off before hitting the real target, and thus killing 5 real people as well!
