Title: Saturday 25th February Post by: Bob's Orange on Sunday, February 5, 2006, 20:52:50 Is the first Edinburgh_STFC Pro Evolution Soccer tournament at my flat.
We have 3 TV's, 3 PS2's and 3 copies of Pro Evolution Soccer 5. Unfortunately, it looks like there are 14 people who want to take part, was wanting to do groups of 4 if possible but if we have 14 then clearly that isn't possible. Any suggestions on a format? Anyone want to take part? :beers: Title: Saturday 25th February Post by: Gelbfüßler on Sunday, February 5, 2006, 21:15:50 2 leagues of 7, play each other once?
top 2 from each group go through to semi final, that way its not that boring if you go out in the league stage Title: Saturday 25th February Post by: Bob's Orange on Sunday, February 5, 2006, 21:18:41 Quote from: "Karlsruhe_Red" 2 leagues of 7, play each other once? top 2 from each group go through to semi final, that way its not that boring if you go out in the league stage Yeah, that sounds like an idea! Cheers. I am still absolutely rubbish at the game so will have no chance of winning the £120/140 prize on offer! Title: Saturday 25th February Post by: Gelbfüßler on Sunday, February 5, 2006, 21:24:48 I'm pretty shit at football games myself, but its good fun.
Give me "brothers in arms" or "medal of honour" and an M1 Garand and there be no stopping me Title: Saturday 25th February Post by: Spud on Sunday, February 5, 2006, 21:42:47 Im ace at Pro Evo, i normally give my mates a damn good thrashing.
I beat a mate of mine 3-0 as Saudi Arabia, he was Spain. Title: Saturday 25th February Post by: Bob's Orange on Sunday, February 26, 2006, 11:48:43 We had the Pro Evolution tournament yesterday, a neutral did the draw at 4pm and I was given Arsenal and put in Group B with some novices which I was quite chuffed at! We had 10 people, 2 groups of 5 with the top 2 from each group playing each other in the semis.
Henry is amazing in the game! I won every group match to breeze through to the semis where I played Juve. Unfortunately, the guy I was playing was too good for me and despite Henry making it 2-1 with 10 to play, I got pumped 4-1! My Asian mate Kirtan won the final with Barca, beating Juve 5-4 on penalties after a turgid 0-0 affair! He took home £40 which he really doesn't need! His mum made the most amazing Indian snacks though so i'll let him off! My living room is a total mess now, with bottles of beer everywhere! A class evenings entertainment which made the sporting day (Swindon losing 7 and England losing to fucking Scotland at the egg chasing) a bit easier to take.
