We have won 3 in a row now at home and won on Tuesday night. Yet the 'fair-weather fans' still don't come back. It's starting to fucking piss me off; they moan about how shit the team's doing but do notyhing to assuage this.

Its exciting and full of action and I am starting to enjoy it :D Some people don't know what they're missing! We have played some good football.

People move on, go and do other things, and aren't able to go so often. That's a fact of life.
I think that the problem is more that the club are not attracting in new fans... which is very difficult when the team does not appear to be doing well. I also think that a big part of this is Sky TVs positioning of football, where you can watch 3 or so games a week. If you were living in Swindon, had children who were interested in football, and were not an existing Swindon supporter, would you start taking them to the CG, or line Rupert Murdoch's pocket? No brainer in my opinion. If you don't think so, imagine moving to Hartlepool or somewhere like that, and ask yourself the same question. |
