Title: The mighty boosh Post by: larwood on Monday, January 30, 2006, 09:19:53 I can't quite remember what this comedy is actually about  but i know i enjoyed the first series of weirdness so i'll be tuning in for the second series starts tonight on BBC two at 11:20 :D followed by the wonderous Kath and Kim
Title: The mighty boosh Post by: Walt flanagan's Dog on Monday, January 30, 2006, 11:27:18 The second series of the mighty boosh is brilliant! Fact. The boys have left the zoo and are now living with Naboo and this familar/spirit guide/house DJ, Bolo (who is a gorilla)
This series is more apporachable, and probably funnier than the last (which did get alittle strange at times). It also works well as a stand-a-lone show, meaning even if you didn't watch series 1, make sure you watch it tonight!! Title: The mighty boosh Post by: Spud on Monday, January 30, 2006, 13:14:08 You knows ill be taping this, i wanna go and see the Live tour they're doing.

Sort of Sci-Fi comedy thing going on. Quite good Title: The mighty boosh Post by: larwood on Tuesday, January 31, 2006, 15:57:31 Quote What's that BBC 2 comedy called that I keep running into at the moment with the fat chap from Spaced in it I think its called Hyperdrive.I've not been that impressed with it,personally i find Desperate housewifes more amusing, but it has had a few moments i suppose and the cast is good. I've seen that a few times. Haven't been to impressed with it either. LIked the Gary Lineker day thing. That made me laugh. Or was there another episode that had a Gary Lineker day? Hyperdrive is good and I also like The Thick Of It on BBC2. Title: The mighty boosh Post by: larwood on Wednesday, February 1, 2006, 08:14:28 Quote I also like The Thick Of It on BBC2. Vicious satirical comedy = brilliant :) I watched Imagine when i got in last night and it was all about the sitcom format and how it had changed, it was quite interesting especially as it focused on a few of my favourites i.e The peep show and Green wing :) .They also featured the new show thats starting Friday on channel four, The I.T show, which might be worth trying to catch as its by one of the blokes who wrote Father Ted. Title: The mighty boosh Post by: Dazzza on Tuesday, February 28, 2006, 00:55:54 That me chuckle this evening. Mangina indeed.
Is the 1st series much cop? May have to invest in the DVD. Having seen all of that Hyperdrive it did peeter out quite badly. Had a couple of decent moments but didn’t continue some of it’s early promise. Any comedy sci-fi will always struggle compares to the first 3-4 series of Red Dwarf before it went cack. Title: The mighty boosh Post by: Ben Wah Balls on Tuesday, February 28, 2006, 01:00:51 I thought it was quality tonight. Only seen the last three episodes but they've all been very funny. I really like Naboo and the gorilla who is Nathan Barley I believe. Pretty much all the Nathan Barley characters are on there, the guy who played Dan Ashcroft is good too.

Any comedy sci-fi will always struggle compares to the first 3-4 series of Red Dwarf before it went cack. Ive got the boxset and its ace. Before each episode Howard and Vince have a little chat about various things, the best one was where Howard threatened Vince "Do you want me to take you out for dinner with Mr and Mrs Pain?, serve you up a violent quiche!?" Title: The mighty boosh Post by: larwood on Tuesday, February 28, 2006, 08:25:09 I haven't seen last nights yet,but the last couple of episodes have been particulary ace :) The character Richard Ayoade[my new comedy hero] played was very funny, obssesed as he was with 'the crunch' and the Goth hair spray made from Robert Smiths' tears :Ride On Fatbury's Lovestick:

He was at his best in Darkplace I bought The Mighty Boosh DVD (copies) off ebay last night, coz i liked Old Greg so much Title: The mighty boosh Post by: McLovin on Tuesday, February 28, 2006, 15:53:51 I think he might you know, as Dean Learner...

'I'm old Greg'!! Title: The mighty boosh Post by: flammableBen on Tuesday, February 28, 2006, 17:59:24 First series dvd is a definate buy if anybodys wondering about it. I watched most of the second series online on the bbc website as they were letting you watch them a week before they were shown on bbc3.
Like to see all the second series again but keep forgetting when it's on bbc2 and can't afford the dvd at the moment. Oddly the weakest episode in the first series probably has one of the funniest bits in it; the Charlie animation in the book writing episode is one of the funniest things I've ever seen. |
