Title: Last nights winnings Post by: singingiiiffy on Thursday, January 26, 2006, 09:31:48 £5 on swindon and cheltenham to win gets returns of £165.
the whole point of gambling is that it is a gamble. risking £3 for a return of £1.20 insn't going to get you far as you if you did it over three matches you need every match to win, if one out of the three loses your back to square one. you've got to look at acumilators or www.soccerstand.com is very good for looking at form which many odds dont usually look at. odds are largley based on home/away and standings. e.g they think swindon will lose on friday :soapy tit wank: Title: Last nights winnings Post by: STFC Village on Thursday, January 26, 2006, 09:34:25 £165 is a great return :D

time of the month mate, i understand Title: Last nights winnings Post by: yeo on Thursday, January 26, 2006, 10:13:06 Well you clever advice is to back longer odd cos you will get more money back.
No fucking shit Sherlock but there is a reason why they are longer odds. Title: Last nights winnings Post by: singingiiiffy on Thursday, January 26, 2006, 10:19:03 im not only saying that:

But singingiffy has a point. You won today which is great, but maybe in the future if the price is right, you should look at potential accumulators.
Putting £3 on Chelsea, AC Milan and Celtic all to win usually gives odds of 2-1. They usually do the business, and you get better odds. Title: Last nights winnings Post by: yeo on Thursday, January 26, 2006, 10:30:47 Mate I know what accumulaters are ive been betting for 15 years.I see your point but by adding extra teams its easier to lose. The point of this is just to have a bit of fun and slowly build up the bank.Yesterdays winning were only 1.20 but thats a better rate of interest than any bank account with £30 in it.Its about minimum risk.
I was probably a bit harsh but your scoffing attitude got my back up(which is easy to do at the moment)At the end of the day if someone comes up with a tidy looking double or treble and it looks good to me I will put some of the pot on it. Title: Last nights winnings Post by: singingiiiffy on Thursday, January 26, 2006, 10:36:03 thats fine, il look out for a decent treble. as you putting 10% in does that mean you have £3.12 to bet?
Title: Last nights winnings Post by: yeo on Thursday, January 26, 2006, 10:40:41 yes
Title: Last nights winnings Post by: yeo on Thursday, January 26, 2006, 10:44:20 maybe we could do more than 1 bet
Title: Last nights winnings Post by: pauld on Thursday, January 26, 2006, 10:48:19 Erm, at the risk of provoking an already irate Yeovil, can I say "nice one" yeovil? For setting the whole thing up and that. And for winning the 1.20 as well, natch.
Title: Last nights winnings Post by: yeo on Thursday, January 26, 2006, 10:51:56 You may.
that £31.25 may go towards funding our next Rory Fallon you know. Mmmmmm lets not go there :D Title: Last nights winnings Post by: pauld on Thursday, January 26, 2006, 11:53:48 For 31.25, we should be able to get a Bobby Howe - or two Juan Cobians - or a bungtastic special bargain selection pack of Ruster, Heiselberg and Van der Linden

Title: Last nights winnings Post by: Simon Pieman on Thursday, January 26, 2006, 12:00:42 Yeovil, don't be bullied on this one. Slow and steady wins the race. If you don't want to risk too much in one go then fair enough and likewise if you change your mind then fair enough.
£3 for each bet means you can lose ten bets and wipe your money out. That's not many bets. You start betting £5 and you only have 6 losses before you're out of cash. What a dumbass suggestion. Yes it's a gamble, but wouldn't you rather have £30 to put towards the fund than nothing? If we can win £5 a week that will be quite a bit of cash and maybe when the pot is built up a bit then accumulators/more bets per day/bigger stakes wouldn't be so silly. Title: Last nights winnings Post by: Danjackson10 on Thursday, January 26, 2006, 12:03:37 yeah i agree with :stupid:
Title: Last nights winnings Post by: pauld on Thursday, January 26, 2006, 13:12:59 I'd say it's Yeovil's cash and Yeovil's idea so whatever way he wants to do it, is how its done. And if the rest of us want to do things differently there's nothing to stop us from putting up our own cash and doing our own version.

Chelsea are on the box (prem plus), 5pm ko. Bloke says to me hes put £100 on Chelsea to win.
Guess what, it was the Man City game, the only one chelsea lost all last season in the premiership. Made me snigger anyway.
