Title: fallon again!!! Post by: STFC Village on Tuesday, January 17, 2006, 10:29:07 Would we still be able to command a fee for him if he leaves at the end of his contract?
Title: fallon again!!! Post by: Johno on Tuesday, January 17, 2006, 10:30:09 i assume not as he would be 24? i dunno.
Title: fallon again!!! Post by: DV on Tuesday, January 17, 2006, 10:46:41 I know I've changed my tune....but we might as well sell him. We are going down with him or without him. We need to accept this is the begining of the end
Title: fallon again!!! Post by: STFC Village on Tuesday, January 17, 2006, 10:51:17 If he's going for nothing at the end of the season, then i see little reason in keeping him. Might as well make some money on him
Title: fallon again!!! Post by: red macca on Tuesday, January 17, 2006, 11:26:52 too late i think.looks like he will turn down all offers stay till the end then go on a free and command a bigger signing on fee.....sorry but CUNT
Title: fallon again!!! Post by: fatbury on Tuesday, January 17, 2006, 11:34:29 I dont think Fallon wants to go .. but if we go down he wont stay its as simple as that!
Title: fallon again!!! Post by: Bennett on Tuesday, January 17, 2006, 17:59:52 he;s not good enough to play championship football for gods sake. he's barely good enough for league one! his movement is pap, he can't actually time a jump, he can head a ball tho, but he's pretty shoddy alround if you ask me.
get shot of him Title: fallon again!!! Post by: Rich Pullen on Tuesday, January 17, 2006, 18:04:04 I think this level is about Fallon's standard... But I'd rather we made money for him... I think the board will surely see it that way.
The messes we get ourselves into. Title: fallon again!!! Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Tuesday, January 17, 2006, 19:32:19 we are going to go down anyway! we need the money to make up the further shortfall for next season so selling him now may not be that bad an idea coming to think of it
Title: fallon again!!! Post by: Stef Troll on Tuesday, January 17, 2006, 22:15:33 Well Swindon should realistically look at the chances of Fallon accepting a new contract.
If he doesnt sign a new contract now, its likely he will leave at the end of the season, as Swindon cant compete with the finances of most league 1 teams, let alone league 2 teams. If thats the case, we should sell Fallon now, and give peacock and cureton a go. At least Cureton will be here next season, unless we sell him. Swindon would really be fucking stupid not to cash in on Fallon now. The only circumstance we shouldnt sell Fallon is if he signs a new contract now. Title: fallon again!!! Since when are League Two teams better off than League One teams?! 2). Cureton will be here if we get relegated? Will he fuck!! I'm apathetic to Fallon's departure - if he stays, great, if he goes I'm sure we can get a replacement. He's a good squad player, but he's not a star player nor is he something to base the team around. We'll stay up regardless. Title: fallon again!!! Post by: Simon Pieman on Tuesday, January 17, 2006, 22:28:04 Walrus it is a well known fact that many teams in league 2 are better off than us :-))(

(1) Ok a few teams in league 2 have better finances the Swindon and can offer better contracts. Just look at Mooney and the scum. Swindon were linked with Mayo from Watford i think, but the bloke signed for a league 2 team instead - most likely due to wages. Swindon have better finances then some league 2 teams, but im guessing there are a fair few league 2 teams who can afford to spend more on contracts and players then Swindon. (2) If we get relegated then Cureton will defo leave. If we get releagted then Fallon will leave. If we stay up, then Cureton will probably stay - as hes got 1 more year on his contract. Fallon wiull probably leave,as he wants more money. The question is, are Fallons goals for the rest of the season worth £300k ? If we stay up, then the answer is yes. If we go down, then we effectively are losing £300k Title: fallon again!!! He's staying til the end of the season. Guess that means more wages and signing on fee when he goes on a Bosman... Title: fallon again!!! Post by: Supercake2 on Wednesday, January 18, 2006, 10:04:07 It's not a win, win situation but in my view we may have to sell only for the money we make from it. if these rumours of lee peacock are true then maybe we have so sort of replacement for fallon.
Title: fallon again!!! Post by: fatbury on Wednesday, January 18, 2006, 10:44:00 Im happy hes staying - we need him to stay up - FACT!
Title: fallon again!!! Post by: Leggett on Wednesday, January 18, 2006, 17:44:12 he's going to fuck off at the end of the season. i'd rather have the money now.
Title: fallon again!!! Post by: red macca on Wednesday, January 18, 2006, 17:56:53 got to cash in on him now imo.if he wanted to stay he would sign simple..the contract we have offered now is what he will get offered at the end the season realistically if we go down he will be offered less anyway..so basically fuck him off

we should have took the money. having a club if we go down is more important than fallon who will leave at the end of the season. call me depressing but its just realistic. |
