Post by: larwood on Friday, January 13, 2006, 10:06:05
My Dad is desperate for Sunderland to keep on losing ,as he hopes that they will take over our record of only getting 30 points
in the Premiership. But does anyone know if this is true,is 30 points still the [bad]record?
Thanks in advance 8)

Bolton went down with 29 in 1995/96, Bradford 26 in 2000/2001, Leicester 28 and Derby 30  in 2001/2002, Nottm Forest with 30 in 1998/99. 30 is a pretty decent total for the bottom team to be honest.

We're still elite/only members of the 100 conceded club.

probably imagined it, not since the days of us have people conceded 5, 6 & 7 goals each week.

If anyone gets to about 3-0 they will sit back and rest their over worked stars (awwww)

At the last count there were about  eight clubs who'd got less than our 30.

Daddy of the lot Sunderland with 19.....I predicted at the start of the season they'd get less and I'm sticking with that.

Dean Whitehead is supposed to be their best player. You know, the one who couldnt hack the dazzling skills of Steve 'Turbo' Robinson so booted him in the arse.

12 points max.

If we get relegated, we would be the only club to have played in the Premiership and the bottom league.........

You could put Franchise in there as well if you include Wimbledon in their previous life, and they seem more likely to go down at present.

Don't think anybody in their right mind considers MKD to be in any way linked to Wimbledon.

Come off it Reg, Franchise won the cup in '88, Shanchez scored the winner. It says so on their website!

Isn't it that we'd be the only club to have fallen from the Premiership to the bottom league?  Pretty sure that Wigan and Fulham have played in both but did it in the opposite direction??
