Title: Ipods Post by: Bob's Orange on Wednesday, January 11, 2006, 19:22:41 After putting all of my music onto Itunes, I feel it is about time I got myself an Ipod of some description. I have between 3500 and 4000 songs on Itunes and would want preferably to put them all on an Ipod.
Any assistance on cost and where the best place to purchase said portable music implement would be much appreciated! Battery lasts fine for me, It last long enough for my 9 hour plane journey to Florida... I am guessing that it has to be something that is compatible with Itunes? ive got a sony one and its brilliant apart from the software that comes with it. it may have to be compatible with itunes but you may be able to use different software if you want a different device. i think windows media player supports them all. ask pieman he seems to know about it all Title: Ipods Post by: sonicyouth on Wednesday, January 11, 2006, 19:36:05 i had a 4gb ipod mini and it was alright but it broke and i didn't bother replacing it, the battery life was terrible (had to charge it pretty much daily) and the sound quality wasn't anything spectacular either. it looked alright though.
was given a sony walkman nw-a3000 for christmas, 20gb capacity and it's fantastic. excellent battery life, superb sound quality and looks so much nicer than the ipod. feels nice to use as well. only annoyance is the software which isn't a patch on itunes unfortunately. Some of them have no floors and work fine others are utter cack and last 10mins before they run out of batteries.
Mine is good and last hours, but my sister with the same model, has had endless problems and has now sent it back to apple! The battery is useless, i used to charge it for hours, id go out and use it for 40mins and the bar would be half way down. Since getting the a new Sony one i only have to charge the battery on that once a week. Title: Ipods Post by: Bennett on Thursday, January 12, 2006, 09:19:46 i got a creative jukebox one...it's a bit big BUT it's 40gb and was £150 a year ago. it's never fucked up on me and the software you get with it is mint. i highly recommend creative and just getting bigger pockets to store it in....or use the clip on the back, but then again only 50+ people do that don't they

Is itunes really that good? I tried to use it for a bit, but it was a bit simple for my liking. I just bought a 2gb memory card for my phone, should tie me over pretty nicely im hoping! It uses those memory stick duos that PSPs use and was only £50 from ebay so a bit of a bargain.
