Christian Roberts didn't create anything, he scored the penalty.

But still - we played better without Fallon as I believe then (and now) we are relying on him far too much.

I think if Fallon leaves it could potentially be a blessing in disguise.

But wasnt it Roberts who got the ball, ran down the wing and then crossed it in for Shakes....even though the goal didnt count and it got brought back for a penalty.

Wasn't Bouazza the one that scored a perfectly good goal only for it to be ruled out and a penalty given? It was like watching a computer game where the refs automatically give the foul instead of playing advantage.

Reminded me of when we played Newcastle at home in the prem and drew 2-2. Someone scored but it was disallowed for a penalty but we missed the fucking penalty...

a) sell falon before he can go for free in the summer.
b) keep him for the goals which may help us stay up and hope he signs a new contract.

It's a different situation from players at big premiership clubs who start contract negotiations over 2 years before they run out, for a club like us with a wage structure tight enough that we know the maximum we can offer 2 months without a deal is a pretty long time.

With the amount of clubs sniffing around I'd say it's unlikely that he'll stay even if we stay up, he will get better wages else where. Also if we stay up then it's likely that he would have banged in some more goals making him an attractive prospect to more clubs.

So it pretty much comes down to the 'do you think iffy can find a replacement on a free transfer?" question.

Which means it's down to the board on how much they need any money right now. If we're struggling with bills then they probably won't have any choice. Otherwise it's up to them to weigh up the financial benefits between the cost of lost transfer of not selling fallon and the cost of getting relegated on the possibility his goals might have kept us up.

Oh yeah I personally think we would of stayed up in the premiership if it wasn't for cunting referees. We played Sheffield wednesday slaughtered them should've won 4-0 easy but lost 1-0. Complete fucking joke that game was. I remember the referee was a total prick.

Southampton was 5th round in 95/96 and i'm sure Horlock scored.

Then we lost the replay through some awful defending, with the winners playing Man Utd.

Yeah I was so pissed off leaving that match, thought we were going to nick a deserved winner and then that happens, I've not fully recovered yet. I can't remember if there were any goals disallowed or cleared off the line but we definitely deserved to win.
