Title: Cureton To Start? Post by: SwindonFan on Sunday, January 1, 2006, 18:42:42 i know that Cureton has definately travelled to Hartlepool, surely has to start alongside Rory in a 442.
Agreed?? Title: Cureton To Start? Post by: DV on Sunday, January 1, 2006, 18:54:36 Dunno seems likely, however Holgate is an option.
Title: Cureton To Start? Post by: SwindonFan on Sunday, January 1, 2006, 19:04:07 Holgate is a option, as well as he has done last few games still not gonna score a hat full of goals, the only chance i can remember him having is the header from a corner last week against colchester
Title: Cureton To Start? Post by: reeves4england on Sunday, January 1, 2006, 19:08:14 I would go for Fallon and Cureton.
No disrespect to Holgate he has done okay, but the way Cureton has been scoring goals you can't afford not to give it a try. Holgate could always come off the bench with 20 minutes to go and alter the style of play like at Chesterfield. Title: Cureton To Start? Post by: SwindonFan on Sunday, January 1, 2006, 19:10:22 i agree 100%
Title: Cureton To Start? Post by: OOH! SHAUN TAYLOR on Sunday, January 1, 2006, 21:05:35 He has to start. Recalling him from his loan spell and then not playing him would be taking the piss somewhat would it not?
Title: Cureton To Start? Post by: Spencer_White on Sunday, January 1, 2006, 21:10:44 Try Holgate and Cureton?
I would. Title: Cureton To Start? Post by: Danjackson10 on Sunday, January 1, 2006, 21:11:54 Fallon and Cureton 100% I got a feeling he might do something for us!
Title: Cureton To Start? Post by: walrus on Sunday, January 1, 2006, 21:14:06 Quote from: "Spencer_White" Try Holgate and Cureton? I would. Ohh sailor :gay: Curo has to start, he's immense when he's on his game. Give him a chance Iffy! Is Roberts injured at the moment? Title: Cureton To Start? Post by: Asher on Sunday, January 1, 2006, 22:26:55 I think Fallons heart isnt with us at the moment!
Title: Cureton To Start? Post by: stfc11 on Sunday, January 1, 2006, 22:30:06 he looked tired on saturday, although i have heard he's been playing with a cold or something
Title: Cureton To Start? Post by: Spud on Sunday, January 1, 2006, 22:42:27 Walrus can wear his Cureton shirt again.
Title: Cureton To Start? Post by: sonicyouth on Sunday, January 1, 2006, 23:48:24 personally i'd put him on the bench.
throwing him straight into the team doesn't send out the best of messages to the rest of the players, particularly those who saw how poor he was before he went to colchester. it would also take him down a peg or two, i'm concerned that he'll see himself as 'our saviour' and start getting ideas above his station. we might be lacking goals but we've been doing well lately and i think iffy needs to show some loyalty to the lads who have performed, particularly holgate. Title: Cureton To Start? Post by: DV on Sunday, January 1, 2006, 23:50:23 I'd start him, if he does all of a sudden think he is our savouir then at least he'll be playing with some confidence.
I'd be very tempted to drop Rory to take him down a peg or two, his recent performances havent been good. Title: Cureton To Start? Post by: sonicyouth on Sunday, January 1, 2006, 23:51:25 or cureton will ponce about the pitch like thorpe did.
Title: Cureton To Start? Post by: DV on Sunday, January 1, 2006, 23:52:10 Quote from: "sonicyouth" or cureton will ponce about the pitch like thorpe did. which is what Rory is doing now? Title: Cureton To Start? Post by: sonicyouth on Sunday, January 1, 2006, 23:54:40 no, rory looks like bambi on ice.
Title: Cureton To Start? Post by: Reg Smeeton on Sunday, January 1, 2006, 23:57:00 Cureton played on Sat for ColU....presumably his head isn't necessarily going to be in the best of frames of mind for another trip to Pool, he scored the winner there a few weeks back.....Iffy's call will tell us a great deal about where this is going.
Title: Cureton To Start? Post by: PHIL!!!! on Sunday, January 1, 2006, 23:59:36 Why are some of you sayin rubbish about Fallon all of a sudden? Hes been one of our best performers this season and without him and his goals, we would be stuck at the bottom of the league with hardly any points and hardly any goals and adrift from the rest of the league.

You're only as good as your last game. Quote and without him and his goals, we would be stuck at the bottom of the league with hardly any points and hardly any goals and adrift from the rest of the league. You could and should say the same about Evans contribution Title: Cureton To Start? Post by: Johno on Monday, January 2, 2006, 10:29:58 bit harsh still though to just slate him all of a sudden. I'd play him today with Holgate. Curo should be on the bench.
Title: Cureton To Start? Post by: Tails on Monday, January 2, 2006, 13:17:25 I'm not slating him but IMO his mind is elsewhere.
He'll be shit for Forest aswell, apart from scoring past us. Title: Cureton To Start? Title: Cureton To Start? Post by: McLovin on Monday, January 2, 2006, 13:30:40 If we can create some changes a la the last 10 minutes against the Swans, Cureton will flourish. Put him in there, i say.

Post by: le god cuervo on Monday, January 2, 2006, 13:53:25 i think holgate deserves to keep his place in the starting XI, he's been very impressive the last few weeks & works hard & puts himself about, something i can't see cureton doing.
curo should start on the bench & come on for the last half hour if needed. Title: Cureton To Start? Post by: SwindonFan on Monday, January 2, 2006, 13:54:47 but if Cureton gets 1 decent chance he'll put it away more so than Holgate
Title: Cureton To Start? Post by: Leggett on Monday, January 2, 2006, 14:09:26 yea, but curetons also gotta scrap for that chance. something he cant do

I WIN Title: Cureton To Start? Post by: Whits on Monday, January 2, 2006, 14:25:42 cureton is starting
Title: Cureton To Start? Post by: Spencer_White on Monday, January 2, 2006, 14:26:32 Yes. Great decision.
Title: Cureton To Start? Post by: Leggett on Monday, January 2, 2006, 14:28:01 ccp's in the midfield as well, should be interesting.
Title: Cureton To Start? Post by: sonicyouth on Monday, January 2, 2006, 14:54:34 despite what i said, i can't argue with him starting. good luck to him or i'll cut him.
Title: Cureton To Start? Post by: Bennett on Monday, January 2, 2006, 14:59:01 precisely sonic. he should start but i don't think he deserves to on merit. holgate should be used very sparingly for the last ten minutes as someone suggests
Title: Cureton To Start? Post by: STFC Village on Monday, January 2, 2006, 18:29:25 Didn't sound like he did all that well today. I hope he proves me wrong, but it seems as if he just cannot fit into our system. Give him a few more games, maybe 2 or 3, if he's still struggling, let him go at the end of January to Col Utd
Title: Cureton To Start? Post by: Spud on Monday, January 2, 2006, 18:59:12 Well to me it sounded like the balls werent being put through for him to get onto the end of.
Title: Cureton To Start? Post by: McLovin on Monday, January 2, 2006, 19:02:55 If we don't create chances for him he won't score. It's so simple, why can't the manager or players work it out?

Post by: Spencer_White on Monday, January 2, 2006, 19:22:28 By Gills we should know what we have to work with. Fallon will either have gone to Forest, or will still be our number 1 striker.
Title: Cureton To Start? Post by: DV on Monday, January 2, 2006, 19:24:12 Well, sounded crap today...
