Title: Holgate.... Post by: DV on Monday, December 26, 2005, 18:28:21 Reg in wrong shocker......
Title: Holgate.... Post by: Spencer_White on Monday, December 26, 2005, 18:38:52 Sort of. We looked better once he came off for Bouazza.
Reg is right. We cant afford to give young players too much lee-way this season. Its do or die, we have to stay up. Otherwise we are condemned to bottom half of div 3 for 3 or 4 years. (like the Scum) AAAAHHHHHHH! Title: Holgate.... Post by: Johno on Monday, December 26, 2005, 19:20:46 holgate played alright in my opinion. i was happy when bouazza came on though, i was thinking of that for about 10 minutes then he bought pook on.
Title: Holgate.... Post by: Northern Red on Monday, December 26, 2005, 19:44:45 Always saw Boozzer as an impact player - anyone think this is true based on today?

Yes, same goes for Shakes, pace being the key factor......Title: Holgate.... Post by: reeves4england on Monday, December 26, 2005, 20:23:36 How did Shakes actually do today?
Title: Holgate.... Post by: STFC Village on Monday, December 26, 2005, 20:25:36 He played really well. Obviously, he still can't cross, but his pace really troubled their left back.
Title: Holgate.... Post by: DMR on Monday, December 26, 2005, 20:31:52 Bouazza was skill.
Holgate was a bit shit. Title: Holgate.... Post by: Mark Hanrahan on Monday, December 26, 2005, 20:37:22 Didn't make the game but caught the commentary - sounded like Ashan did a half decent job... and not a mullering in sight either Reg! :Ride On Fatbury's Lovestick:
Title: Holgate.... Post by: STFC_Chris on Monday, December 26, 2005, 22:19:42 Did I imagine it or did Holgate say he has a son in his post match interview? What is he, 17? 18 at the most.

Title: Holgate.... Post by: magicroundabout on Monday, December 26, 2005, 22:55:18 i thought Holgate did well today.
chased everything down and made some good passes. also he has a decent first touch and uses the ball well. Pook was fucking shit when he came on. couldn't pass, tackel or even run. But Iffy knew what he was doing so i wont complain Title: Holgate.... Title: Holgate.... Post by: DV on Tuesday, December 27, 2005, 11:20:37 I thought Pook was ok, he did start off really slowly and took a good 10 minutes to get into the game

Post by: I 8 Razor on Tuesday, December 27, 2005, 11:47:27 whats all this about? i agree with some that holgate put in an acomplished performance and did not at all look out of place in the first team. He's one player that actually gets his foot on the ball and has a look! was cool and collected for a 17/18 year old. Was man of the match with migz i reckon. Bouazza, like roberts is so much better off of the bench.
i'd keep the same team for weds only bouazza for brown on the wing and just possibly gurney for mcdermott in the middle. Title: Holgate.... Surely, if he is so much better off the bench, he should not start? Personally, I think it would be better if Brown plays. Bouazza is going in a few games and wont be coming back. There is a chance, however, that Brown would sign for us and not cost us the earth. But we need to establish if he is good enough first. Title: Holgate.... Post by: Tails on Tuesday, December 27, 2005, 13:22:54 Chris, how the fuck was it racist??
I said it wouldn't surprise me because of his age and the fact he lives in Swindon not because he's 'mixed race'. I saw loads of girls my age either with babies or pregnant the other day, shocking. Title: Holgate.... Post by: Sade on Tuesday, December 27, 2005, 14:39:12 Holgate did extremely well, like to see him in the side more often.

I think its pretty good that Iffy's seen he's got potential, giving him a fair few run-outs in the first team will only make him a better player. he'll score against swansea i reckon  |
