If you mean, should they re-release it, then no. I'm confidentl that the Kaiser Chiefs effort will be good. But you are never going to replace 3 lions in the hearts and minds of England supporters, it will still be sung at every game, and so it should, regardless of how good the Chiefs song is.

Every football song bar World in Motion and Granddad Alf & his Son Elvis - Meat Pie Sausage Roll has been crap.

Vindaloo was ok as was England’s Ireie where not bad but everything since has been shocking.

I must admit, i got strangely addicted to Ant & Dec's effort, "We're On The Ball", mainly due to that bit in the middle......Rio to Campbell, Campbell to Beckham, Beckham to Lampard, Stevie Gerrard! :\/  :disapprove:

Didn't know kaiser chiefs were doing one. Should be a good effort. A slightly reworked (40 years of hurt etc.) 3 lions would be ace although the 98? version wasn't a patch on the original.

New Order should get together with john barnes to re-release World in Motion. that would be the best thing ever.

As suggested on Radio 1 we need to get the players involved a la Englandneworder, get Lampard, Terry and Gerrard going, make it as bad as possible!

New Order would and a re-release of World in Motion would be storming.  John Barnes would have to be replaced in my mind I'd nominate a Neville.

3 Lions is awesome, it sends shivers down my spine and gives me a semi just listening to it.  It's a well-known tune and one that instantly makes people think of England, and gets the old patriotic heartstrings going.  A big thumbs up this end!   :D
