Title: selling stuff... Post by: DMR on Tuesday, December 13, 2005, 17:36:14 if it ain't soiled and it ain't porn it stays
you can't take something off once it has a bid... so set a reserve (think of it as a minimum release clause) it's piss easy, but there are seller fee's Title: selling stuff... Post by: Northern Red on Tuesday, December 13, 2005, 17:36:17 Sold loads on Ebay - Imagine Car Boot Sale type stuff - you can sell anything as long as someone wants it...
E.g. Sold some Man Utd Programmes (bought for £3, sold for £6 to some bloke in Cornwall) You can take things off, but only if it's done before 12 hours left to run.... Easier to let it run its course and just sell it.... Check what things are going for - ie selling a DVD search for the latest DVD for sale and watch that auction - what's the final price. And overcharge on postage  8) Title: selling stuff... Expect about 90% of your top bid to actually reach you.... Title: selling stuff... Quote from: "DV85" stupid suggestion, but you could try getting a job? Title: selling stuff... Post by: blinkpip on Tuesday, December 13, 2005, 17:57:18 I usually Start the bidding price around what I want to sale it for.
But I find selling stuff for about £1-5 is pointless. After paypal and ebay charges, You don't get much back. (And then there's annoying part of cashing a cheque of about £3.50). Just sell things you know are going to sale and have a good sum of money. Title: selling stuff... My other mate was buying some long socks from ebay and he emailed the guy making sure they were brand new, this was the reply he got...
"Yeah, they are brand new in the packet, unopened. Would you like them worn?" Title: selling stuff... Post by: Bedford Red on Tuesday, December 13, 2005, 20:39:39 I've sold quite a bit on there. Mostly some old programmes I had but quite a few CD's I no longer listened to .
Make sure you list it like Dazzza says. Stuff I sold at the same time as other people sold for more cause I took care with my listings etc. It's worth the effort to get the extra money.
