Sadly hitching is  something that people don't seem to do much anymore....in my youth of the late 60's early 70's, it was posible to undertake all sorts of journeys.

I was still doing it on the odd occasion into the mid 80's when I started noticing it was becoming increasingly difficult to get lifts.

I think I'll go back to working at asda if I can. Being student is a costly affair. What with all that beer and rent.

We should get better student loans, having to work for money sucks.

God you students are such spongers, give us a bad name!

But yeh we do need bigger loans, all this alcohol is starting to get costly.  I'm getting so fucked this week, I've had such a shit life up til now, I hope to be coming home in a box on Saturday morning.

I'd post my escapades of the previous week where a shopping trolley made it's way to my room, a flatmate shat in my sink, I slipped in my own piss and lost my car, but some of you might not approve....   :|   I'm getting too hardcore now.

The best uni madness is always when you've got to deduce what's happened from the reckage you discover the next morning.

always makes me smile this... on the way to england poland, our minibus picked up a hitchhiker on the way out of a service station.
we pulled up next to him and whoever was in the front seat (probably spencer) said jump in.
he slides the side door open to be greeted by 10-15 pissed up lads in he back shouting 'waaahheeeyyy' with everyone trying to force lager down his throat. i bet he wished he'd stayed at home

quality dex, i once hitched round europe and had some mental lifts, one that springs to mind was a fluroscent pink camper van driven by 2 dutch nutters dressed in fluroscent pink, inside the camper everything was fluroscent pink including the fridge and the beer cans in the fridge.

I only hitched once, in Malawi.

Our coach got empounded in customs as they weren't just trafficing passengers, the luggage hold was full of bubblegum and plastic soles for flip flops! (The bus originated in Tanzania)

So we walked through the checkpoint and flagged down a pick up truck, explained our problems and for the princely sum of $1 each we got in the back and he took us about 3 hours to the nearest big town - we had to share the back with chickens and stuff but its better than sitting in customs for hours while they stripped the coach down!
