Post by: fatbury on Monday, December 12, 2005, 12:59:42
theres something I love about playing Blackpool .. dont know what it is ...but ive been there 3 times and never miss a home game against them .. (McMahon being there for a while made it a no miss match)

Another important match v Blackpool again this weekend .. but we havent beaten them since 2002!!! when Little Alan Young got the winner ..

COME ON YOU REDS!!!

Yeah and remember last season too?Last minute winner, what a fucker,we should have won comfortably.
This game is important cause they are down with us and also we need to start putting in performances at home.

My first ever Town game was against Blackpool in 1995.
1-1 With a Steve Finney goal and a Paul Bodin reckless outside of the area Penalty challenge.

It looks like draw this weekend. :?

he's 22 (i think)

he's just never really been into football, he's heavily into his mountain biking, selling one of his bikes for £2.5k at the mo :|  this month's mountainbikingUK magazine has an article of his in it, rode up and down Ben Nevis.

but he's well up for it, he's up in nottingham at the mo, just spoke to him and he's lookin foward to it. dunno where we're sitting, but i figure somewhere with a bit of atmosphere would be a good start! :P

i know dude, his bikes are fucking MINT. his other bike, the frame itself is worth over £2k. its a fucking gorgeous bike to look at, and stupidly light. damn good ride on it too, so im told.

the one he's flogging cos its a full suspension rig, with 9" of travel on the rear shock, which he doesnt use at all, so he's getting another full suspension rig with 7" of travel on the rear shock. aparantly it makes alot of difference! :P

but he's defo game for saturday, hopefully will be in the pub half 1ish i reckon.

Sorry mate, but i hope we do even without you there,we really need to beat Blackpool ,they are down near the bottom with us so taking 3 points off them is a must. Also we have had a good couple of weeks it would be awful if we lost at home again, especially on the back of two good away performances. After Christmas we have some really hard games coming up too, tomorrow is a big game.

Especially as city now have two away games on the bounce first against Vale - great chance for us to move up the table.  Our two consecutive away games were better than expected and I can't see city doing any better than us points wise.

Post by: DV on Friday, December 16, 2005, 15:28:32
fuck everyone else, lets concentrate on us, us and only us

Our form is good, much better over the last 8 games than most of the teams around us, bar the Gills who have picked up a few wins.

If we keep up OUR good form, we will rise above the other shit at the bottom.

The minute you start thinking about everyone else, you are doomed.

Concentrate...

I was simply stating is it a good opportunity in the next few games for us to pick up some points and move up the table.

I only care what happens to city when it affects us and seeing the current table - it does.

True, what City do, does indeed effect us...but talking about it or even thinking about it wont change what will happen.

Let City worry about themselves. No point speculation about how they will do in thier next two away games, for all we know they might get 6 points.

Its sssoooo hard not to think about senting shitty to the bottom though :)
Fair enough point, the only team that can save us is ourselves,we can't rely on any other results going our way,we just need to keep on playing the way have played in the last two games[or get the results we acheived anyway:-))(  :)  ] and we will move off the bottom.

i think we should get all 3 points, if we have the right attitude and passion for the game. Hard work is all it takes.

Agreed, but i think we NEED to get all three points of Blackpool and i'm worried it isn't going to happen because i feel that way :( .There are no easy games in the league i know but Blackpool are down with us, and after Christmas we have games against difficult and dangerous opposition.

I am really hoping for a win. It would be great just to have something to cheer about.
I think we need to assume City will pick up a few points and work on the basis of winning as much as we can, rather than thinking 7 points from the next 3 or whatever.
