I like Dolphins.

They are the most intelligent animals in the world, they are so wise that although they could live on land they choose to live in the water to stay away from all the problems you get on the land. Back in Ancient times Dolphins used to be worshipped as gods and some of the greatest philosophers in history were actually dolphins.

Dolphin - Dolphin is the most intelligent animal on the planet. some dolphin clans travel together in groups of a thousand or more. Members cooperate in fishing and get along well with each other. Dolphins love to touch and caress each other. They touch with flippers or swim belly to belly. People who swim with Dolhins in the wild often report great emotional healing from Dolphin\'s unconditional love. Invoke Dolphin for wisdom, the ability to love unconditionally, harmony and communication.

I heard somewhere that Plato was a dolphin.

Although Dolphins, Manatees and Otters are great, oddly, my favourite animal has to be stingrays (actually, the ones that don't sting, so rays i guess?)

Very graceful creatures, and very friendly too. Gotta love Sealife Centres 8)

Sea cucumbers are top! They are basically rubbish things that flollop about in the sea not doing much until they are attacked at which point they (obviously) flee their assailant. Sadly, being rubbish, they can't flee very quickly so in order to confuse/repel their pursuers they self-eviscerate - which basically means they auto-eject their bowels! Whatever was trying to eat them is then either distracted by the free food and stops to eat the bowels or so disgusted by the whole experience it loses its appetite. Meanwhile our hero retreats behind a rock or something to recuperate and after bit grows new internals, leaving it free to continue being rubbish. Beat that, otters!

For the less learned amongst us a Zonkey is a mix between a Zebra and a Donkey.

Zippy Info

Geoffrey:-
One of the most common questions I'm asked is "What in God's name is Zippy meant to be?" You have me, a big bear, and a pink hippo and then there's Zippy. I don't think anyone has a clue what he's meant to be, but I do know why he's tangerine. It's because - like me - he's a Dundee United fan.
"I lived in Dundee for much of the 60's and even came back a few times in the 70's. I had very happy times there and my fondest memories are of going to Tannadice Park one week and Dens Park the next. I became a United fan.
"They were languishing in the Second Division in those days, playing teams like Brechin and Alloa. Dundee were the strong successful team at the time, but we thought United played the more attractive football.
"Because of that I was determined Zippy was not going to be blue."

Meercats are the dog's bollocks.  Saw a bit of the BBC2 programme last night about them, sometimes I wish I was a meercat.

Sometimes I wish I was Terry Nutkins

http://www.bbc.co.uk/cult/ilove/years/1981/gallery/640/animalmagic.jpg

He had 2 of his fingers bitten off by an otter, did he demand their execution like Ian Beale did in Eastenders when Wellard bit him on the arse! No he carried on thinking they were great, and set up a school for wayward otters with Johnny Morris as headmaster and Chris Packham as head of PE.What a guy!
