Title: Why do people call it the flu... Post by: janaage on Tuesday, December 6, 2005, 10:55:15 .....when they've got a cold or something? Apparentely Matt Bulman's got it, even though he was in the Spot on Sunday evening. Rory had it on Saturday but managed to play on Saturday.
If you've got the flu you can't fucking move, one minute you're boiling next you're freezing, every joint in your body aches, and you get headaches. There's no way you can get out of bed, let a lone play football or go up the pub. Fucking pisses me off when people say I've got the flu. Then come to work the next day. I'll just about concede that you can have 'flu like symptoms' ie a cold, but from what i gather flu just kills you for at least a week.

Far to much sommon sense there OST, after all they only spend 90 minutes running around in all conditions and lord knows how long training during the week.
