I have no sugestions, and I can't say I'm really bothered about Personalised number plates.

But if I was going to get one I would want something close, don't get the R77 PHY one.

Got personal plates on both our cars here in the States. Mainly because its easy and cheap - you don't have to spend any initial fee on the plate and it costs $80 a year (including the equivalent of Road Tax) to keep them on your car. I'm thinking of changing mine to say something about STFC next year when I have to re-register the car. I can also bring them home, so when you see a car with Ohio licence plates on them......remember it belongs to a Swindon fan !!!

 Come to think of it a Reg plate would be good for me as I've no idea what's on my car.....I knew what was on my first car a lot of years ago, but rapidly lost interest in the subject.

I used to but not anymore. If you get stopped you will be issued with a producer. Be aware your insurance company could play awkward and not pay out but most of it is an MOT failure.

incorrect spacing will always fail an MOT these days - i did mine with no spacing and it failed.

You're less likely to get stopped by the old bill for just spacing, it's when you start messing around trying to make the letters and numbers simply look like something else or use screws to change the digit - the reason is that if you make a plate so obscure that APNR can't recognise it it'll flag you for a stop - end of... do it too many times and DVLA can revoke it...
