I'm fairly sure you can get good value travel tickets with Amtrak or even Greyhound on the coaches. Book rooms in cheap motels for about £15 per night, find hostels in the major Cities. Ponderosa do indeed do the all you can eat buffett (confused me the first time I used one, thought if you ordered the steak that was all that came and you had to get all your extra's from the buffet - instead I got a full plate of food plus the full plate from the buffet all for about £4.50) If staying in a hotel in a major City, use the cheap airport ones. Remember the caves (Drogoroti) as a useful day out and something about an underground lake (Melissani) where we were pounted around by singing gondeliers.
