Title: How to make an omlette Post by: walrus on Monday, November 21, 2005, 17:36:58 What with this forum becoming increasingly metrosexual, I thought it was high time to post some cooking tips - I'm about to embark on making an omlette. What the fuck do I do? I've broken three eggs and can't stomach three fried ones so thought of an omlette. I've got some cheese to put in it? And some BBQ sauce. Fire away! I want to eat it with The Simpsons so hurry!

Get a fork and beat the eggs, put a splash of milk and beat it bung in more or less anything else thats around and leftover, fry it up bung some herbs in the eggs. Wack the grill on, fry the egg mixture for a bit, then wack it under the grill to finish. Are scrambled eggs actually a mashed up Omelette? Title: How to make an omlette Post by: Sade on Monday, November 21, 2005, 17:47:28 I've gone off omlettes after I found a hair in one I ate whilst in cyprus this summer :dead: Nasty.

Are scrambled eggs actually a mashed up Omelette? More or less. I've spent many years trying to replicate a good Spanish Omlette, or tortilla, which without doubt is the finest there is. just can't seem to get it right though. Title: How to make an omlette Post by: Kinky Tom on Monday, November 21, 2005, 18:05:11 Takes a long time to do a tortilla Reg, at least half an hour. They are lush though.
I reckon milk is better than water, also you should noty cook the omlette fully, but when nearly ready fold it onto the plate so that the inside is gooey. Top. So have you managed to do one that is remotely like a Spanish effort, I've followed recipes and sort of end up with a fried potato and onion omlette, OK but lacking that Iberian something. Title: How to make an omlette Post by: Nils on Monday, November 21, 2005, 19:04:13 Always use milk!
Milk is always best, just like it is better to use milk rather than water when making porridge. Title: How to make an omlette Post by: Dazzza on Monday, November 21, 2005, 19:04:47 My firt ever part time job was as a chef in a restaurant and I was in charge of the omelettes.
Cook your ingredients in the pan first, spread out evenly then add the mix for a more even texture. Sprinkle with two cheeses, under the grill to melt and cook the top off then in one even movement you should fold the omelette out and over itself onto the plate. I’ve tried all sorts of combos but can’t beat a good solid 3 egg, - 3 cheese omelette. Quote You can beat an egg but you can't beat a wank You can't beat a bit of wank with your egg.
