I need some help on the horses next weekend. I'm off to the hennessy at newbury on saturday and need some tips on horses as i don't fancy walking away a £100 poorer!!

heard anything on the grapevine?

I'll ask a bloke at work for you cos he's up with all the horse racing mullarky.

It should be a cracking race on saturday, ones to look at in the big race,  

Trabolgan = Stable in top form
King Harald = got tired in his last race but should be fitter. good each way bet.
Cornish Rebel = Stays the distance, came a close 2nd in Scottish national, and my man Ruby Walsh is riding.

I will have a look and let you know some more for the other races later in the week when the cards are put up.

I fancy Cornish Rebel myself .. Ruby Walsh is indeed the man! :beers:

Hes a bloody good jockey ... and have won quite a few quid on him lately .. thats WHY i like him!

Birdy, how long do jockeys spend in saunas to keep their weight down?

Some of them spend all eveining in the sauna, or they take laxatives, and live on tea and biscuits

I take it they take water in there with them?

20 mins in a sauna and i'm dehydrated.

I have never been in a sauna with a jockey unfortunately.  I doubt they have much water as the point of the sauna is to lose excess water to shed pounds

i've got a few horses now, anyone heard anything? thankyouplease

Not heard a thing Whits but ive stopped backing horses.Looked through the cards and the naps and stuff and nothing really sticks out to me.Just for fun I'll put these selections but my horse tipping is wank so dont even think about it.(actually might be worth discounting all these to narrow the field :D )
