Title: Euro 2012 - Italy Fix? Post by: fatbury on Tuesday, November 8, 2005, 11:45:52 Three bids remain in the running to stage UEFA EURO 2012™ following today's meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee in Malta.
Second phase Italy, Croatia/Hungary and Poland/Ukraine have all been put on to the shortlist for the second phase of the bidding procedure, meaning the bids from Greece and Turkey will not be pursued. A final decision on the hosts of the 14th staging of the UEFA European Championship will be taken in December 2006. --------------------------------------------------------------- Looks a one horse Italy race now .. is it a fix by UEFA?? Title: Euro 2012 - Italy Fix? Post by: janaage on Tuesday, November 8, 2005, 11:51:30 Eh? Why's it a fix? Am I being extremely dense here?

Title: Euro 2012 - Italy Fix? Post by: janaage on Tuesday, November 8, 2005, 12:00:34 I don't really think it's a fix though. Just that it would be a logistical nightmare for Turkey to host such an event.
Personally I hope Italy does get awarded it. Title: Euro 2012 - Italy Fix? Post by: Dazzza on Tuesday, November 8, 2005, 12:05:57 'll be Croatia/Hungary, trust me.
Title: Euro 2012 - Italy Fix? Post by: mattboyslim on Tuesday, November 8, 2005, 12:15:30 Major obstacle to Turkey has to be that despite being in UEFA they are largely in Asia, with EU asscession for large poarts of the eastern bloc either reality or planned for the future, I wouldn't be surprised to see any of the bids suceed, Italy may win as joint bids aren't universally liked, but I fancy Poland/Ukraine
Title: Euro 2012 - Italy Fix? Post by: McLovin on Tuesday, November 8, 2005, 12:19:33 Craoatia/Hungary would be a good place to hold the tournament. Both places look quite nice from what Judith Chalmers has shown us.

Do you have a stupidly good memory or were you just searching for things to say "you're wrong" about. I bet you had a vague memory but had to search for it. I can read you like a book.
