A real shame though ,a proper champion :( How often does that happen?Ive never heard of a horse dieing of a heart attack in a race before. It is really sad, I have met the horse and he only lived down the road from me, it is a shame. Spacey is right, loads of horses die of heart attacks during a race. One died after it passed the winning line once right by me, it is horrible, but they die doing what they lived for and they are dead before they hit the ground so they don't suffer.
