Indeed (including BWB's avatar) but my Warholian clue to the question about the the Prem clubs all time leading scorer, who scored a goal against both a father and son goalkeeper in the top flight has yet to be answered.

This is disappointing from an assemblage of some of the finest minds within a 40m mile radius of Calne.

Well I was going to ration them...but I'll leave you with this one...

Which player who won a Prem league winners medal in the 21st century, had an uncle who played for Sheff U in the 70's and a father who scored in an infamous match against the club in question?

 Player.....uncle.....and father and team required.

i'm gessing Frank Lampard, his uncle is harry redknapp, team Chelsea, total guess though.

Yeah just checked it, only player I coud think of with a premier league winners medal, and uncle and father who played in the 70s.

Bah, I knew you would get it Reg !  Ray played once for Swindon 1945-6 as a guest , and scored twice. His Dad regaled me with stories of his son winning lots of medals in the dizzy heights with the Baggies.  ( While Swindon were struggling a bit!)

He's often listed as playing for Garrard's in local football....I've often wondered why we missed out on him....do you know the story?

Title: Nico Nearly Got Run Over At Huddersfield
Post by: normy on Monday, October 31, 2005, 11:04:40
Afraid not Reg. I vaguely remember being told that Albion had scouted for him, but nothing else. I wish I had asked the questions! As he was born in 1926, therefore about 19 when the war ended, and he played for us that guest game, things must have been a bit unsettled. I did not know the Garrards information.
