Ive been doing Nights 5 years in Feb. I hate working Friday nights but other than that it doesnt bother me.

I've been doing nights for nearly a year now, it does my fucking head in!

I was working nights over the summer. My main annoyance was wanting to go for a pint when I'd finished, but at 7am it's bad enough finding a place which will serve you let alone finding one of your mates to go for a drink with.

The first thing i do when i get home from the last night of my shift is crack open a tin. A small celebration for my toil*

























*I have been at work for 2 and a half hours now, without doing a jot of work

I prefer nights except at weekends :(

How many hours sleep do you usually get when you do night shifts? Not including sleep at work

Never sleep at work. Usually try and get 7 hours kip during the day

I normally sleep 7-1 ish and get about 20 minutes sleep at work :D

I make up for lost sleep on days off.

I normally get off to sleep between 7:30-8am and wake up at 2:30-3pm, 7 hours is enough for me.

I just done my night shift and i dont feel tired at all! might ee how long i can stay awake for! 26 hours and counting!

Got 3 night shifts this week! How bollocks! No beers this weekend!

Well i finish my night shift Saturday morning, ive got a nice long weekend as i booked off Monday & Tuesday night so plenty of beer for me.  :beers:  :beers:

3 years down the line and im still doing those night shifts! Got one tonight! what a load of ballbags!

I was a bit :shock:  reading back through that to find fB mentioning doing a night shift, other than debauchery....it took a moment to realise it was nearly 3 years ago.

Hats off to all you night shift people.  I don't fancy it, used to do the old double day shift and enjoyed that.  My son does continental night shift, 3 x 12 hour shifts per week, 1 night off, 3 nights on, 3 nights off, 3 nights on and then 7 nights off.  He loves it!!  On the one night off, he leaves work at 6 am on Saturday morning and is back in at 6 pm on Sunday evening.  Not for me!!

I could always handle nights it was starting 5-6am starts that I used to detest.

i do nights at the weekend, however i am surrounded by drunk teenage girls, its quite a challenge.

Done 7 years of nights now, don't really bother me anymore as the money is all i care about.

 :D  My mrs does odd shifts, one week of day, one week earlys, one week one week lates, one week nights...gives me a chance to do what I want, on nights I get dinner cooked then shes out, wakes me in morning off I pop to work, its great but she hates it

i've done earlies, lates and days, don't mind any of them that much but I do like having my evenings back after 2 years on lates.
